Poseidon's Possum

The strangest things happen
in the Northern hemisphere
dancing dervishes
become the norm
in the mid Norwegian Sun,
mercator projected
A bird in flight
caught by the car lights,
travelling incognito.
Recess to be free,
there's a longing ;
in the upper atmosphere
see the lodestar disappear.

Fantasia

I.	O my children,
	All the faithful,
	Heed the call,
	Hear the sanction...
	The ancient eldritch plea
Gathering from the thousand shadowed places,
	Plazas, pagodas, pavilions...
Reach out, summon in communal ritual
	The quencher of your thirsts
	Slayer of want

II.	Moving through the smoke of October,
	The dry chill of night...
Tending to the bells in the upper atmosphere...
I am Keeper of the Chimes,
	Seeker of the Hearts
Of those who yet seek, and know not yet that they seek,
The Breath of Life and the Flame in the Night...
I am here and I am She
Who loves you all and loves you alway,
And lo, I am with you until the end of your age

Starlight Escape

With a sparkling gown and on my unicorn,
I swiftly fly.
Loftier and loftier into God's most holy sky.
These auburn tresses flying wildly free,
in the upper atmosphere,
Chips of stars, nestling ever so tenderly there.

Going to meet my love, to live in eternal feldspar embrace.
My heart's honored and magnificent Arcadian desire!
Yesterday, today and most assuredly.
Sitting at the foot of God's eternal staircase.
Locked in a tropospheric, forevemore embrace.

Coping

Good always betrays
         (me??)
     Finches to burn the Air!
(in the upper atmosphere. . .)
     Sloth opens the freezer;
Drops smooth ice Cubes into booze.

Premium Member The First Snowfall

Somewhere, way up high,
In the upper atmosphere,
A raindrop starts to crystallize,
No bigger than a tear.

And when this starts to happen,
As everybody knows,
That little drop of rain
Transforms into snow.

The cloud then released the flake,
On its journey down to earth
And the first snowfall of winter
Was given a new birth.

Down on the playground below,
Little Torrie stared at the sky
And spying that unique snowflake,
Let out a happy sigh.

She watched it drifting down,
With the excitement of being young,
Positioning her body
To have it land upon her tongue.

Four feet from the ground
It melted in her mouth;
For the past seven years
It hadn’t snowed this far south.

Now deep inside her soul,
This snowflake will always be
As the clouds from high above
Let thousands of others free.

Torrie was satisfied that night,
Watching the ground turning white,
Knowing the flake that started it all
She rescued from its fall.
