Until Now

I look at you from different eyes

Seeing you like this

In a much different light

Then those eyes of yesterday.

You are one beautiful person

Shaped into a beautiful being

God’s wonder of creation created

Fashioned, formed and put together

Like no one else

But you

Yes, you as I look at you.

And it wasn’t until now

I see you as something better

Then you were before time

Yesterday was clear then.

But you are here in the now.

And until now I see a beautiful being

Like no one else.

Until Now
David J Walker

This poem was waiting for
The right paper before
It is said
It is Written
of
Printed plain words

until now
unspoken
Thoughts and hearts in clouds
Crowds of dry denizens crying in the dust

Until now
Unbroken
On the edge of ether and untried ideas
Of silent sentiments forming the Brokering Reinforcements

Until now
Unavowed nor
Vetted in sentiments of censored compunctions
Flowing in moonlit waterfall forests

		Until now
		Unnoticed
the Winer is welcomed with inevitable approbation
And essential acclamation while privately negotiating with Spring

		Until now
We thought winter might never end
		With summers anticipation

Until Now

You've got yourself a past
now don't you boy?
A list of loves that didn't last,
a lonely future you couldn't avoid.
Until now.

All I've known is loss.
I'm braced for the life of the lonely.
I'm dying in a world where everyone is boss
except for me.
Until now.

Your touch drives me crazy,
you don't try to own me,
you make me free.

Gonna love you down
with an embrace wider than this town.
I'm not gonna hold you down.
We've been held down and owned.
Until now.

I'm not trying to own you.
I want to...love you.
I want you to be mine, yes
but I want you to own yourself.

Your kiss sets me free
and you let my own hand hold my own key.
My love is all yours
because my heart chose
and I know...
when the future is here,
you'll be in it.
I'll drink your tears
and you'll know my secrets.
We'll heal each other of our pasts
we'll laugh about them when we can.

You've hurt
and I've cried,
felt like dirt
and tied
up up up.

Felt choiceless,
dumbed down
and voiceless
and grounded
down down down.
Until now.

Unseen Until Now

Unseen, until now
Breakage appearing
In this mint green snow

Until Now

Alone I sit,
unwilling to committ,
until now...
You have made me wonder,
what love is like under
your kisses...
A stone cold heart,
you have melted apart,
with sweet whispers...
to love and to hold,
til we both grow old
never sounded so good,
until now...
