Premium MemberThe Space Between Stars

The flow of intrinsic instinct channelized
through the seamless emotive space,
between shining sensitivities of discernment,
drives the central cognitive impulses,
propels persistently the existential essence
across the verve-saturated emptiness,
surges with the waves of sensuous sequins
of enlivening ethereal attraction
through the vacuity of amorphous perception.

The eternal elements of time pulsates unsensed
in the ether of the inner secluded space,
defining a piece of infinity in continuum.
The fervent rhythm of enticement in harmony
with the covert cadence of blankness,
transitions explicitly into designed nothingness
from one invisible articulation to another,
modulated innately by the motivating stimulus
of the illumined stellar souls.

Premium MemberWhy Poetry

There was no purpose or plan
No mentor took me by the hand
I never knew 'if', 'what', or 'how'.
But I know why I became a poet.

To gaze upon an entity
To observe a person
To listen to sounds
To feel, to touch,
To inhale aromas
unsensed by others.
That's why I became a poet.

Moreover, to listen
to the fleeting heartbeat
and unspoken words of a
dying one awaiting the
entry of an angel.
That's why I became a poet.

Furthermore, to know
the pain of one who has
lost his way and finding
a way to restore hope to him.
Indeed, to remind such ones
that we all fail in some way.
That's why I became a poet.

To open the eyes of ones too blinded
to see the beauty inside of them;
to help release the pain within.
That's why I became a poet.

Premium MemberWho Would I Be

Who Would I Be
David J Walker

Who would I be
I asked myself
Curiously
I mean if I
Wasn’t the me
People have come
To see
Who
	Would
		I
Be

Though the questions
Remain
If all was the same
Who
	Should
		I
Be

If I were free
Of all doubt
About
Life’s authenticity

And if I
	Held the key
Would I know
 	More
And open the
Door
And be free

Would I be able
To see
Who I
should really
be

In a doubt free
State of mind
Would I find
the name of the
something
unseen by the blind
unheard in
word
unsensed
by the senses

Though in
reality
I am fenced
By the fences
I created to
Protect the me
From the rest of
The world
Rather than flee

Today is another day
To try and find
The answer
Who Should I Be

Premium MemberAbsolute Truth

The absolute one,
the primordial light of the universe
lights perennially the essence of the living.
The ultimate one,
the primeval energy of the universe
drives perpetually the destiny of the existent.
The invisible rays of enlightening
travel across the infinite space,
the profound energy is manifest in the eternal soul.
All contained in the only one, the absolute truth.
The omnipresent is ingrained in everything that exists
and shares the light of the absolute truth.
Yet each one is like a tree in the forest of diversity,
each one is like a flower in the garden of plurality.

The truth unsensed and the oneness unrealized
generate conflicts of intolerance,
debase the blessed existence,
cause bloods to flow in strife,
grow distances in collapsed relationships.
In the restive blind mind in futile pursuit of peace
the bliss of the divine soul remains unperceived.
Let the tormented life get the supreme solace,
let it feel in the soul the touch of the absolute truth.

Premium MemberXenophobia

Life runs in a furrow
the known makes for you narrow
knowledge is a sense of security
journey you waver to take beyond familiarity
there the fear lies.

Challenges build tough barrier
you try but can't cross over
you may aim to change the track to win
the venture you don’t risk for it's unseen
there the fear lies.

Some known roads will disappear for sure
you can no longer travel secure
in the unknown outside your domain
things unsensed out of sight they remain
there the fear lies.

If you build a new road and be proud
it would soon be full of crowd
strangers would come and stay on
an act of intrusion you would reckon
there the fear lies.

The mind coded to own the own
receives signals unsafe and unknown
in the clutch of undefined terror it closes
you're scared by the unknown otherness
there the fear lies.

Montego Bay: a City's Biopsy

Golden like honey slowly the sunlight drips
On the sweet horizon of a sea tongue licking
Evening's rouge splattered and fragranted lips.
And like restless crab claws on stone clicking
I hear time in the blue silence of sea and sky:
She goes fresh in her frivolous hedonic fantasy
Away with days undone deeds, and drudged tasks
Yet in lavished evening the lovely island basks.

Day comes to her stoic end, but the island sees
Not, nor hears how strangely the noisy city changes
Into a dress of silence. Like leaves on their trees
That greener into summer pass, the stillness ranges
From sky to soul unsensed. I pity the fly that swims
Or crawls the sugared rim, while days light slowly dims
The city is not the same in its heart, its innocense
Is merely a smokescreen for the slick savage's prtense.
