NOTE:THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE without grammatical symbols the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and respond thus making the form a two way interplay and often a unique interpretation by the enigma so derived

God’s poems are not finger-stabbed to tiny screens,
hurtful, unkind, sent unseen, abbreviated and unpunctuated,
short and shorthanded, words landed without care or thought.
He does not swipe to left or right, or judge by wealth, or dress, or sight.
Despite the shabby staining sin, He counts it treasure, concealed within,
and infinitely patient, crafts His hidden Word, ‘til all His work is done,
and then that work shall be revealed, son’s glory, for His beloved Son.

I have looked into
a zoo elephant's eye- I felt nothing pass between us
How to describe, what seemed to be,
an out of focus camera lens.
I saw no flicker of response- it took
the carrot from my hand
The massive beast was trained-
not tamed - his eye
a small unpunctuated pool - strange
in relation to its famed intelligence-
it seemed as vacuous as a snake's
That eye - a still point-
in its rocking body
showed puzzled disappointment

The Longitude
Woke up by the stream
of kind nature
I had no recollection
of a past,
this was now, an expanding
presence,
as water rings made
by a stone thrown into a lake,
till it runs out of energy
sinks to the bottom
where other stones that,
used to be mountains rest,
and there is
for the exceptions of
a few commas
unpunctuated stillness
