Unpropitious Poems | Examples

Soliloquy of a Pierrot

without warning, one day, i shall close my eyes,
i wonder, in that moment, i will say “indeed i lived a good life,”
or i may say “i lived my unpropitious life shoved and dragged
by the power i have no control over it.”

if it’s to say that one who survived through
his given days is already praiseworthy by itself,
i should, at least, accept my last moment open armed
with a smile on my face,

however, my worry is that if i can smile at that moment or not
because i saw too many horrible things throughout my troubled life,
because i underwent so many harsh trials that broke my back,

are all these negative notions coming from my narrow-mindedness,
or from a shallow view, or caused from my disagreeable attitude?

Premium MemberBridge Over Troubled Water

If time is turning unpropitious,
You shouldn't hesitate a minute,
Need not ponder a moment,
A distance of a courtesy call,
Friend will stand by you for sure !

I'm in the same waters as you,
Sailing in the parallel boat as you do,
Right or at times left waves might slow the pace,
Behind at times left, but let fortitude prevail !

Like best of the times quickly pass away,
A perverse situation too is not going to stay,
Bridge the gap between time and patience,
Over and over build up your vicissitude,
Troubled times would soon be left far away,
Water, the morning water will soothen the sail !

I'll not let the stress overpower ,
Ease the mind off the recurrent vague thoughts,
Your spirit will feel the essence of enlightenment,
Mind palace is a place wonderful if conquered !!

Branded

Wasted breath, an ounce of pain
Storming in with thunderous rage
Denial, post wrath of oblivious lies
Imbecility moments, gestures captured and tide
Only the disheartened will know…

Swing in from the depths of your mind
Nothing left to capture, heed to time
Ravaged, broken, solace no more
We know anguish, we keep the score
Only the disenchanted will know…

Bring forth, raise us from the black seed
Guide us out of the darkness, set us free
We know the torment, we hold so close
Lower your hands grasp on and hold
Only the amiable will know…

Luminous, radiant, peaceful, and celestial
Darkness strangles the tenebrous soul
Balancing to hold on, rocking to and fro
Shrouded in pessimistic thoughts, I let go
Only the meek and unpropitious know…
