Unmoved Poems | Examples

You

I know
You'd return every winter,
To remind me
Of all the frozen nights.
But,
With the commence of spring And the warmth of wind, I'd be unmoved
Whether you stay or not.

The Unmoved

I am a disaster,
wallowing in self-pity.
Delusions strong,
paranoia in overdrive.
I am stalemate.
Stagnant.
Watching life pass,
and I cannot move.
No dreams, nor nightmares.
Life hurts.

Checkmate.

So what if the world does not understand my intentions,
My motives or my desperate grasp on my own dreams?

So what if the world laughs at me,
Taking the choices that I have made to be ridiculous,
As, they can not relate to what I feel, to what I believe
And to why I do tread on my own path,
While keeping silent and while adorning my face,
With a smile, bright and shiny,
As to fool everyone into thinking,
That I am not breaking up inside, that I am hurting not,
That I am not really the glossy doll that I pretend to be?

Why, when the world itself revolves on pretence,
Why should I feel guilty as I follow, in her dances,
Her own steps?
When the world can change her temper and her dress,
In one snap of its own fingers, making of me, in this process,
Either a queen or a victim,
Why is it that I should feel bothered by anything?

Maybe, if the world could open its mouth and spill out its guts,
Maybe then, I would have accepted to be another of its robots!

 Stillness
Canvas unmoved
Picture now painted
Where whispy gray clouds rule

Sun cast red on the horizon
Warns of foul weather ahead
Even jet exhaust is gray
Gives onlookers dread

The birds don't seem seem excited
For happily they wing
Roosters' crowing fills the valley
I wonder why they delightedly sing

Each inch of the sunrise
Changes the color of the sky
Cotton candy clouds float nearby

Soon the sun will rule
Heat the earth and the trees
For now the morning is glorious
Comfort and joy that please

There is always a moment in time
When the sun seems to back down
All becomes darker
Clouds wear a frown

Now gold sand fills the sky
Those clouds all aglow
The sun waits awhile
As the paint settles and moulds

Soon the precious minutes will cease
Work will rule the day
But in these moments brief
My spirit fills and plays

Premium MemberUnmoved, Untouched

As paths cross once again
This time I remain
Unmoved, untouched
This heart does not scorch
It will not revisit the past
For fear it will not last
A touch of sadness settles, yet mixed with peace
Friends we can be forever, but this heart’s out of reach

Unmoved

Try to push me to do what I don’t want to,
I’m an unmovable force you can not move,
I’ll laugh to myself,
And continue with what I do,

Try to tell me what I’m not,
Give it all you got,
I’ll laugh to myself,
And I’ll be reminded of what I forgot,

Try to use that sword,
It just reminds me of how your board,
I’ll just laugh to myself,
And know I deserve more,

Try to make me fall,
Í know you’ll try to make yourself feel tall,
I’ll laugh to myself,
And discard it all,

Try to make me cry,
My tear ducts have ran dry,
I’ll laugh to myself,
And won’t give effort to try,

Try to take me away from all that I was taught,
I’ll just push towards what I thought I lost,
I’ll just laugh to myself,
And I’ll know how hard you fought,

You can’t push me to do what I don’t want to,
I’m an unmovable force you can not move.
I’ll be laughing to myself,
And be continuing with what I do,
Because I am unmoved.

Unmoved

Though the wild wind blows.
Things never move.
Though the seas invade.
Things never change.
I am but a stone.
A continued expanse of earth.
Though the wild wind blows.
I stand unmoved.
Though the seas invade.
I stand unchanged.
Greater forces move mountains.
Still I stand.
In the wind with water about me.
Though the wild wind blows.
Though the seas invade.
I will stand here.
Unmoved, Unchanged.
