"Frosted"
A penny for your thoughts?
Scratch that thought.
Thoughts are worth more than pennies
Thoughts are legions of brilliant glistening diamonds
shining dormant undiscovered in a deep deep dark cave
veins in the walls of The Catacombs blood art fuses lit
burn and sizzle bright like gunpowder travelling from the Throne of Amygdala
to the Kingdom of the Pounding Scarlet Brave
beats in time with intent and purpose
when the music ceases -
TRUTH
seen very clear
as through untainted glass
binoculars not necessary here, my dear
Windows of your soul unfrosted
Will see lost love at last
Pennies on your eyelids
mirrors covered with vintage grey
army surplus blankets
trapped in the ashes
dust to dust
open the curtains, move outwards every pain
let the Light and fresh air in
You're alive again.

The Fuehrer Life raises up its rigid hand
Demands following promises you chose
Its the best thing you could ask for,
the right to choose
Its what holds you back,
the fear to lose
to open the doors and create dreams come true
To fall away from the very essence that is you
Like moving into new clean drapes
Windows unfrosted by confusion
The person you were has no doorway
And the floors of your life were covered in sediment left by previous intruders,
The uninvited
All aware of your contract to this life
And the doorway locks to the top
unable to enter
unable to let go
We hold on to what we know
Stairwells of featured memories alas they contrive who we were
Who are you now?
The Fuehrer wants to know
