Unfed Poems

Premium MemberSTILL UNFED

Your deep glances pierced my heart.
Throughput our life we were apart.
Sank slowly in your love unsaid
Hunger of my love still unfed.

Your eyes mesmerised me to whelm.
Your charming glance only to blame.
Bygone days haunting me in bed.
Hunger of my love still unfed.

         I’m ignorant of your feelings.
My love is stuck in glass ceiling.
In social bond we are not tied
Hunger of my love still unfed.

         No recognition of our love.
         Unison ! We truly deserved.
Yet, for each other we were made.
Hunger of my love still unfed.

“When the heart desires what it can't possess
There lie's a hunger that’s never fed.”Quote - Poet's own
I hungered for love a long, long time
Love that bestows life beauty and rhyme
To relish feelings of happiness
Rather than horrendous ghastliness.

For joyous is what life’s meant to be
Contentment peace and tranquility
Home is where the heart lives, it is said
Where one can sleep soundly in their bed.

Not so when one’s world is retarded
Making sure every word is guarded
Unable to explore what’s in store
In the world that’s outside one’s front door.

A sad childhood stunts the inner growth
Emotionally, mentally, both
Alike a bird that’s trapped in a cage
Never allowed to have centre stage.

That is how it is and was for me
Till I grew up eventually
Then I met my love and we got wed
So now I don’t have a hunger unfed.

A Hunger Unfed

An unforgotten depth,
An unreached ground,
Answers haven’t been found,
A dim lamp stands in the corridor.

He sojourns with a vague understanding,
He seeks to know the reason for his troubles,
To find the path out of the gloomy bubbles,
He has searched the deep for a reap.

He has walked out of the night,
He has sojourned to the light,
The tendrils of the night still trail him,
He has seen its different sides

The book hasn’t answered all his questions,
The sages say it’s a purposed intention,
He still journeys to redemption,
Until time and age bring him completion.

In moonlit shadows, she roams alone,
A hunger unfed, a heart of stone.

Her crimson gaze seeks out the night,
Yearning for blood, her only delight.

A vampire cursed with endless thirst,
Her soul consumed, her conscience cursed.

Through darkened streets, she silently
prowls, Seeking prey with unearthly howls.

But in her eyes, a glimmer of pain,
Longing for peace, for love in vain.

Her fangs may hunger for the red,
But in her heart, a hunger for the dead.

A tragic figure of the night,
Bound by darkness, shunning the light.

A hunger unfed, a soul in despair,
Forever she is lost in the vampire's lair.

Quote: "There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.” – Mahatma Gandhi

In wars, innocent lives are the cost,
Their homes, their dreams, forever lost.

Starvation strikes, food laid to waste,
Leaving many hungry in its haste.

In silent shadows where hunger hides,
Aching emptiness, sorrow abides.

Whispers in the dark seek a ray of light,
A glimmer of hope to end the night.

In bellies hollow, echoes resound,
Souls wear thin, despair is found.

Streets echo with desperation's cries,
As hunger's grip tightens, hope tries.

Yet within hearts, resilience blooms,
Defying hunger's relentless gloom.

Let's extend our hands, open wide,
To those in need, nowhere to hide.

In acts of kindness, flames are fed,
Bringing warmth to the hungry, unfed.

“Inspired by a Native American Legend using a story of
‘hunger unfed’ as a metaphor for inner conflict.” ~~~ The Poet.~~~

"The Grandfather spoke in a gentle voice, calm and clear,
As he described to her, the two beasts without fear.

The first beast you have inside you my darling child,
This animal is sullen and untamed, a persona that is wild.

It's a bold animal, who exist alone and ignores other’s feelings.
It goes about, suiting itself and choosing its own dealings.

It is strong and defiant and never does what it’s told to do.
It fights with the other beast that also lurks inside you.

The second animal is calm and pure, and does as it should.
It will obey you and choose to do what is right and good.

Its desire is to protect you and look after you all day long.
This animal has a righteous nature, although it is strong.

It will be loyal as it’s a passive beast with a side that’s meek.
These two fight each other, as to live within you they both seek.

Both hunger, as they are unfed, the winner is important indeed."
"Which one will win Grandfather?" "Child it will be the one you feed."

Unfed Somalians

How can i sleep when
i hear you crying?
You are innocent; you are weak.
At your cost we all live.
We understand and accept the reality.
But we interfere and compromise.
We build our palaces
upon your corpse.
