Premium MemberEmptiness

Intrinsic intuition tunneled through time,
drives incessant the central cognitive impulses,
surges with the sensuous waves
of enlivening enlightenment,
through the vacuity of amorphous perception.

The rhythm of time pulsates relentless
in the inner secluded space infinite,
the fervent frequency in harmony
with the intonation of the void,
the transition designed unequivocally
from one articulation to another,
modulated innately by the motivating stimulus
of the illumined soul.

Undiscerned life force abhors pervasive vacuum,
propels persistently the existential essence
through the sense-saturated emptiness
of enigmatic equanimity of abandonment
to the self-suffused sanctum of fulfilling bliss.

A Priori Blues

Living alone
in quantum space
vibrations
dually churn

Hiding behind
a simple rhyme
their essence
undiscerned

Turned into words
exposed at last
where time and
memory join

Feigning the praise
for something they’re not
disparaged
— and purloined

Premium MemberWind In the Trees

wind rushing through the trees
an invisible river roaring in the ears
swaying back-and-forth
dancing to an undiscerned beat

birds hunker down
wait for a more opportune time
to frolic in the sun

grasses bent
powerless to resist
hanging on until they can strain upward again

what drives the wind?
what is its intent today?
what will it accomplish?
what is its purpose?

only God knows

lift your face, the corners of your mouth
inhale deeply
embrace the coming change

for He who put snakes in the grass
made you as well
and has the eyes
to see the very good in all

Premium MemberUp In Smoke

I walked on the garden path,
young heart pulsating
with the cadence of love,
fostered dream of permanence
in the transient world
for being loved and possessed forever.

Times turned into an inferno,
my dreams went up in smoke,
blew away the incinerated mind,
a dislodged withered ashen leaf,
disappearing silently undiscerned,
like a drop of uncared tear.

In the ravaged desolate garden
trampling the razed flowers
in the summer of discontent,
I walked a lonely journey
with the smoldered yearning,
buried within mind’s ash debris.

That’s when searching the soul
I discovered the inner divine light,
revealing the real sense of belonging,
defined the heavenly purpose of being,
and by the grace of God I found
the devout course of life so beautiful.

A Tear

A tear
An emotion epitomized
A panoply of feelings
There is much one could surmise

A tear could come from happiness
Perhaps from a pain that won't go away
A cognitive distortion
Undiscerned thoughts from the preceding day

A tear could be the product of fear
Manifesting from distress and anxiety
A tear could come from joy
Couples crying together - happily

Tears that flow freely
Like April showers that bring life
Exposes raw feelings
Of uncontrolled elation, or unadulterated strife

Tears have power
Emotions epitomized
A panoply of feelings
There is much one could surmise

Fear

Fear is the evil
Fear captures the soul
Fear intimidates
Fear prevents us from becoming whole

Fear breeds certitudes
Fear perpetuates ignorance and hate
Fear fractures and divides
Fear - I fear we may be too late

Fear is ironic
Fear allowed us to flourish and grow
Fear helped us to survive
Fear brought us together - to be strong and be bold

Fear has us here
Fear is responsible for anxiety in our life
Fear has become so irrational
Fear causes great strife

Fear is what we fear
Fear manifest in our minds
Fear left undiscerned
Fear - could lead to our demise

Premium MemberBeholder, the Painter

Lure of mirage
thirst unquenched
hidden despair unperceived.
Wisdom unveils crafty illusion
in life of reality
awareness imbibed.

Shadow of dark clouds
mind masked in shade
concealed hope undiscerned.
Silver lining in foresight view
splits in colors of reverie
in prism of optimist vision.

Convoluted canvas
deformed unsightly faces
turn murals of beauty
sparkling in conceived smile
beholder, the painter.

Fertile Soil

Let’s dive into our mind
Look around – perhaps nothing is as it seems
There’s a unique perception
An amalgamation - of what we call me

Like rich fertile soil
Brimming with potentialities
Nature verses nurture
So grow the seeds

The roots grow deep
Manifesting in the subconscious mind
Breaking the surface
Revealing the crops – behavior becomes defined

The harvest can be bountiful
We truly reap what we sow
The health of the product
Contingent on the knowledge we know

Thoughts left undiscerned
The weeds spread like wild vines
Effecting the crops
Damaging – the internals in our mind

So let’s dive inside
Look around and take a mental note
Let’s clarify our perspective
Our humanity – our future will grow

If you don’t like the crops
Take action – not poetic hyperbole
It’s all in our mind
An amalgamation of you and me

A Few of My Short Poems Put Together

Silently she slips
into another dream
she drifts through an illusion
that cloaks her memories in an eclipse
a shadow of her life
a reminder of the grief and strife
she's met by promises that cant come true
they lie on her soul like the morning dew

in the shattered mirror she lies
as broken as the memories she despised
in her dreams she painfully cries
desperately wanting to break free of the guise

Is this all one big dream
wanting to see through blind eyes
is a certain madness taking hold
or am i simply being far too bold?

Can i do it once again
bring myself to what ive been
slave away in the past
and forget the future that cannot last?

What thought she demurred
A dream that's deterred
Twice it sank
Twice it burned
And left with life undiscerned

can you know what you leave behind
when you move onto another road
to not see what others will find
a used up empty load
crying in the background

how the tides have changed
and as surely as the sun rises
the waves shall recede
a salty shore battered and broken
outcries in the dawn
of empowering need
left unspoken
