What a mighty God I serve!
Amazing in all His ways High and above human
Lowly thoughts and contrivances
I bow to you in humble adoration
You alone are my God
The Master of the universe
How can I begin to recount
All your amazing deeds in my life?
Forgive lord sins of my
ingratitude
That trivialise your amazing love
Every day you divide
The Red Sea for me
To walk on dry ground to freedom
But I keep looking back to life in bondage
You sent your only begotten son
To deliver me at a price of great suffering
But I prefer to wallow in bondage
I go to bed and wake up the next morning
To glorify my self instead
Of you my creator
Today I come to you my God
In humble supplication and total
Surrender to your will and goodness
For you are my amazing God

I bring to you no fragrant roses red
For they in little time will wilt and fade
Nor chocolate bonbons wrapped in velvet bed
Their flavour soon will wane the taste buds jade
No painted card with sentimental verse
Have I transmitted to delight your eyes
Such symbols trite cannot true thoughts rehearse
And may the real emotions trivialise
So here my love I stand with hands devoid
Of gift in substance that may please but pass
And yet my feelings cannot be alloyed
They shall not crack nor break a heart of glass
Love brought by hand can fade and wither dry
Love nurtured in the heart will never die

It’s time, its here, it’s that time of year
Time for chocolate eggs and a bunny
But look deeper in and ask, is it a sin?
For many do trivialise with a hat that is funny.
The deeper meaning behind, is getting harder to find
Why chocalte eggs are given and eaten just now.
Is there a glut of them? Is there a chocolate laying hen?
Or a chocolate factory that's owning a cow.
Is there a golden rabbit? Did somebody bag it?
This is one thing I do not know.
But what it means to me, is not hard to see
The size of the egg or the rabbit is for show.
As I don't like chocolate bunnies or eggs
I am out to rescue the bunny, hen and cow
But what to do when the rescue is through
I will put on my thinking cap just now
When they are free You can leave it to me
I will find something new to do with them.
As for Easter this year, you need have no fear
The animals will soon all be free
To stop them being abused
And to keep me amused
No clue to the killer of the Easter bunny….
it’s me.
