Trinkets Poems

Tinker Trinkets

Love to play with word
where the the therapist
becomes the rapist
love evolves love
me squared becomes a meme
Chagrined by a silent e
using silent phonetic letters
the gnome needs to know
without an a aplomb
remains the sane

Trinkets

These i spy with my little eye
tossed aside, two black-and-white die
silver glinting of a spoon
little green soldiers in a platoon
things you forget around the house
things i pick up, quiet as a mouse
a pencil here, a postcard there
pins and buttons to fill my lair
and ever so softly during the night
when the owl hoots and the moon is bright
when the house is still, there’s not a peep
and you’re counting little sheep
i pick these up, you’re unaware
but look under if you dare
what was lost will come to you
i’ll give them back, they’re overdue
but what a funny thing to know!
a few lost pins won’t stop the show
the only conclusion is that humans
love these small things, it’s proven
how strange! how odd!
what seem like trinkets to us gods –
may be one’s greatest treasure

Response To Victorian Trinkets Poem

Response to Victorian Trinkets Poem

Wish there was a picture of where you have been,
So we could be able to see it again and again,
That place where all of those memories were made
Which into past, you would never want to fade.

Trinkets and things that would always dazzle you,
Almost as if each one could make your dream come true,
Reminding me of the time we first had met,
And the story is sure to get much better yet.

Poetry Soup be sure to put dreams on,
Before they disappear and have all gone.

Beyond the Fickle Trinkets of Silver

Beyond the Fickle trinkets of Silver

and the dead pendants of gold

there must be...

something
somewhere
somehow

a feeling less gaudy

yet far more tangible to embrace and to hold

when all the cold steel turns to nothing

and when all the cut-glass gets chipped and old

there must be

here
there
anywhere

an emotion so timeless

and peaceful to behold

and so...

when the wrinkles coil and curl

as the lines of age slowly begin to unfurl

will the trinkets and pendants of silver and gold

console

what resides in a hurt soul

or will we only then realise

that all the silver and gold

do not make us

ever

whole.

lucky that trinket,
 carefully entwined round her feet,

Trinkets and Triangles

Trinkets and Triangles
Tokens given of all her affection.
My living has erupted because I met ewe.
My life began the day it started was
so innocent and never seemed to end.
The warning sign I have always had before
was not in place that day.
I could NOT assign ewe to a folder
and keep my face hidden from the light.
I needed someone to be true, and a heart
to mend the broken heart of night.
A love, entered into just by faith
where sight would never do.
A CROWN of Thorns has bought me life:
my ewe has brought me love,
and even more;
the ability to love and thirst for more.
The love inside of me is triangular,
one corner is MY GOD J>
the other is my ewe E>
the last part is just me M> JEM a gem.
Trinkets she gives to me and triangular love
I give back to her in these words.
This is all I have to give my ewe:
My Heart
My Love
the love I give to ewe is just
the love that she has given me
so true:
ewe eye love ewe.
