Love is a Mother cradling her newborn babe
It's an infant's gurgling and cooing
Love is the tearful embrace of long-lost siblings
It's the rescued miner's silent prayer of thanks
Love is the flower you received so unexpectedly
It's your lover asking for your hand tremblingly
Love is the rainbow arching o'er the horizon
It's a moonlit evening sailed on sky-blue seas
Love is here, there, everywhere you seek her
~ It's found wherever you let her in

Thirteenth Birthday
I picturize my thirteenth birthday through memory glass
My grandpa matured my dream with a shiny black bicycle
Thrilled for I would now be able to ride like other friends
Grandpa held the cycle as I capered along with him
I was taken to a huge ground where the soldiers paraded
My cheeks were glowing red hot when I was taught to cycle
I tremblingly held the handle of my pricelesss gift
Quickly I put my foot on the right pedal then on the left
And sat on the seat pedalling flying faster than the wind
The speed was thrilling as I crossed impossible milestones
Onlookers smiled to see the teen's two ribboned plaits flying up
Felt like a star shooting in the sky as I zoomed around
My heart ringing louder chimes echoed in the whistling wind
My wave to grandpa in cinematic charismatic style
Made me lose balance and down I lay in a plumpy heap

Deep in the desert
Where the sun shines
Bright and hard
Lived a little flower
Pale as the sand
It stood bravely
The sun beat on it
The wind blew in it
The heat almost
Took the life out of it
But there it stood
In the clear night
Beneath the canopy
Of thousand of stars
Morning brought a traveler
From some place afar
He stopped by the plant
To wash himself
Few drops spilled over
To the pale flower beneath
A shiver went thru’ her
And tremblingly she unfolded
A few more drops
And the petals
Stretched themselves
Hesitantly, tremblingly
As if some force
Pushing them out
Of her dream of death
Eternity, holds her breath
The pretty petals
What a sight to behold
Seemed to be overwhelmed
By unstoppable madness
A little place
Of sensual joy
Thus life reentered
Joyously
What a moment ago
Had been dead
Entered it visibly
Passionately
In all its glory
The wayfarer
Looked down with a start
As if surprised
To see such beauty
In the barren desert
Bent down
And plucked the flower
And put it against his heart
And there she can
Be seen now
Happily riding away.

Wanton and wild she whispers wizened
So delectably opaque she surrenders sated
Her fledgeling mind warbles tremblingly unblind
So altruistic so soothingly defined
Coloured adornment flames brilliantly in heat
So trembling and trying she walks until him she meets
