Tozer, deep - thoughts
well explored with-
in the realm of man
Thankfulness, for what man
cannot touch -
deep mysteries of an eternal God
our speech, no matter
how profound cannot reach
the depths, God’s eternal
storehouse
A few things stored:
his love, grace, mercy
What’s left to explore:
(between the parentheses
of eternity)

Mankind is filled with many beliefs
they would be sincere there's no doubt
but sincerity alone won't be enough
so life's so complex what's it all about?
One feels for that pagan so honest
but makes up a god all of their own
can such a god do anything for them?
where's the evidence? can it be shown?
Of course there on the other side
one who rejects God's evidence
despite the authority of God's word
in his own ability is his confidence
God is very big having real authority
He sent his son to buy real salvation
mankind needs to believe God's message
listen well to AW Tozer's quotation
The real existence of God
is in the heart of all His own
His love is full beyond measure
being truly their chief cornerstone
(Quote:
"I sympathize with the mood of the poet Wordsworth when he wrote to the effect that he would rather be a sincere pagan who believed in a god that did not exist than to be a sophisticated Christian who disbelieved in a God who did.")

Twelve months within one’s life
may not amount to all that much
but in the course of all your years
these year’s moments may really touch
Set out to read old testament every day
from Genesis to Malachi throughout the year
some high and low points along the way
but grateful to God for His word so clear
The pleasures of the great outdoors
travel around the Scottish countryside
gaze on the great work of creation
such privilege to view nature’s bride
Opportunity to read many fine books
Carnegie, Churchill, Tozer to name a few
inspires the heights lifts one’s heart
with soothing classics sounds on cue
Celebrate silver anniversary the highlight
of the year my true love so fair
fills one with thankfulness a plenty
for God’s grace, faithfulness and constant care
(this was written looking back at end of 2015)

God requires God like servants
ones that seek His good pleasure
for God is fully all holy and true
looking for those likewise to His measure
Scripture declares God is holy
His servants must also be so
be holy as I am holy
this is required for to grow
To be holy as God demands
our desires need be spot on
having a real want to do it
to this God pulls us to be drawn
We need a true heart obedience
to believe and trust on our Lord
obeying when we feel like it
is not enough to strike God's chord
Holiness is being like unto God
in all His glorious godly perfection
not indeed possible in our nature
but in Christ we have holy connection
('Every man is as holy as he really wants to be' - A.W. Tozer)
