The Tithe

THE TITHE.

Where is our God?
Who is our God?
Is our God masculine or feminine?
Where are you God?

Why are you partial God?
You bless those you love?
I do not know if you love us?
They say we should not question you?
But I have burning questions God?

Is it because we do not give the tithe?
What mistake did we do that equates to this?
Dear God!
Where are you when we are suffering?

Is the tithe so important?
They say we give it to you.
But how do we give it to you?
Is it not through such instances?

Where are you God?
I need to get answers for these.
It is written seek and it will be granted.
For how long will I seek?
I'm knocking at your doors.

Dear God?
Didn't you send your servants to help your children?
Jeremiah, Elijah and Elisha?
Not forgetting Amos and the rest?
Your children and perishing.
Where are you God?

Paying Your Tithe

A time-tested spiritual banking,
Higher and higher one goes in ranking,
Slammed doors sweetly unlocking,
Hindering barriers unblocking…

From the wall one has been flung
And like a bag on a peg hung,
One beautifully bounces off,
Once more cooking better-off
Your trifle not with Malachi 3:10,
God having it written with His Pen;
No chance rubbishing of the injunction,
For whomever must get beyond our junction.

Tithe never is by rude force backed,
Wherefore their payers have often slacked;
Of course, to hellfire straight,
Who even does so late…

As much a robber,
Who could another clobber,
No less, The Shameless Looter,
Who easily turns A Shooter.

You Have Nothing

A 35% of you is for the taxman
Twenty days left to own your grind
A 10% of you goes to tithe
For a salvation to find
Leaves you with 55%
But a 50% of you is for your spouse
I told you not claim a better half
And the remaining 5% can be yours or not
If it is snatched by a person who lost 95%
That leaves you with 0%
That is how you have nothing

Tithe

He only ask for ten percent which really isn't that much
So as it would not be spent but instead used to touch
With so much in hand and so many that are in need
If you could only understand the importance of seed

Taking it right from the start not to even think twice
You give with your heart to He who paid the price
For from something so small placed into God's Hand
Will begin to feed them all in each and every single land

And in that one tiny deed given over in God's Name
Now part of your creed things will never be the same
For the Lord one must never test, but in this one act alone
As you shall never have lest harvesting the wealth you have sown

Take not the word that I say but allow your own heart to try
For in walking this way you will never again have to ask why
The Lord shall not lead you astray and He knows your every need
So with that next pay why don't you plant that first seed

Tax the Tithe

In man God created self
To another, He tasked to share
Fellowships created to bind
Diverse yet the same He makes
To care for man, God is loved
Men daily assembled in God’s name
Denied God’s in dramatic manipulations
Orderly assembled for a rich harvest

Fatter pockets purchase God quicker
Rules upturned for the benefit of man
Men unyielding in the challenge of God
Street rules adopted on the altar of God
For the master, not even a mule to own
Yacht and Private Jets portioned for servants
Further eroding the protective sheets
Not a care about tomorrow’s people

Impunity and mediocrity finally married
Mesmerized commoner in doubt of self
Money overtakes God in His holy alter
The soul has a choice after but hide
