The Scythe

Those that shove past you, glare and scatter,
That drive the scares, in your wits and slither,
That smile and stare, at things you did master,
And then them that you will, lose and move,
Or through thicks, care for and pursue.

The bearers of the whips of black scythes,
Folded in turbulent evils of shaded blythes,
That wait in desires of you, to swift in myths,
And then bear of nothingness, the power of slices,
Unnerved by the struggles to free, from the swings and minces.

There are those that, in swears vow and plead,
Please with, in steps synching walk on paths,
That they laid in thorns, that they enroute,
And awaits them, in rounds, on routes.

Maintain the binds to them, in pomposity,
That you may, in silence, find prosperity,
In pretence, that with them, you are,
Swinged and minces from bites,
Of their evil, the scythe.

Miss

On days which went not right
When evening came to be
I miss the hands and voice
That brought me normalcy.

The remembered days of triumph
When laughter filled the air
Joy-tears welled my eyes … and
Her presence was always there

In sickness and in sorrow
Through all the thicks and thins
Standing there beside me
Those woes she’d help me cleanse

When harsh words or arguments
Invaded tranquil scenes
Her understanding thoughtfulness
Returned the good routines

Situation and circumstance
And twists that fate allow
Caused it all to go away
And oh … I miss her now.

These Slogans

Politics is a cluster of slogans
Pinching society’s all organs
The issues are just countless
Blaming others being careless

Sometimes of a child education
Sometimes removing corruption
Sometimes women’s protection
Sometimes poverty eradication

The slogans flow in every stream
Showing bright future’s scheme
During elections all catch the ear
But after it they are nowhere near

They only seem to be clever tricks
To befool through thins and thicks
All leaders appear to be prophets
Pouring in voice honey droplets

For God’s sake stop tricking on us
We are fed up of shows pompous
We want no more of slogans at all
We want the nation builder’s call

Sisters I Never Had

Through our ups and downs
Our thicks and our thins,
We always pulled together
Every game we would win.

Laughter and joy
Tears turned to sweat,
I love each one of you
Not a time I'll regret.

You're all there for me
As I'll be here too,
Miles can't take away
My memories of you.

Together as one
We have all grown to be,
The love I have for you
Is deeper than the sea.

We stand in a circle
As we make a pact,
I love you forever
And that's a fact.

I'm sorry to leave
On such a short note,
Just never forget me
Or these words I wrote.

And always remember
The good times and bad,
You're all in my heart
For being the sisters I never had.
