This rag-taggle crew climbed out of a Chevrolet car.
We can’t read a map, they said, and we are going far.
Who is your brightest thinker? I asked. Who could I teach?
They all began to holler “That would be our orangutan Peach.”
Peach sauntered in and gave me the famous thinker’s pose.
I bet you didn’t think it was me, he said. He wore really tight clothes.
Can you read the map for them? I asked. Are you going quite far?
I will try, he told me. But it might be difficult. I am driving the car.

I caught me a billowing passion fish
A sky burnt sienna and wild
to the delight of my meandering, cotton-tailed heart
to the release of the infinite sigh...
You grew.
The tips of my fingers stung raw
The clouds taggle tugged at the strings
My mind raced with flurries and tremulous worries
and other monstrosity things.
I won the race with the finicky sky.
Your fish to my water-logged heart
Eventually, we gazed from the ground
Sweet hands intertwined from afar...
