Swollen to the brim with puny pride
I take on the seamy side of life a ride
That for me promises bliss
When caution advises
Analyzes and synthesizes
The obsession with a stolen kiss.
Thrown into total disarray
On my knees I bend to pray
Beseeching Providence
In its omnipotence to grant
Me wisdom never again to rant
Nor direct against a foe an egregious lance with credence.
Shaken to my foundation
For my unwise consolidation
I reconsider the way forward
Charting in earnest a new course
Drawing inspiration from a divine source
I reject advice from a clumsy coward and his risible reward.
Feeling forsaken and beaten
Despite being love smitten
I humbly submit
To dictates and edicts that respect
Perfect, select and deflect
The temptation nonsense for me to permit and tweet.
He drives the beat with a burning heat,
The rhythmic fire of the street.
It synthesizes, energizes, maximizes
Life's every situation, with harmonic fluctuation.
The sound that abounds and resounds from somewhere deep.
He's found the soul of it, out on the street.
Every ounce of energy flows with simplistic synergy.
Passion and desire light his instrumental fire.
Chaos brings a cadence, laden with impatience.
Soft placid rhythms, well they just aren't in him.
But those frantic pounding beats, coming from the street,
Are a bold presentation of his soul's imagination.

We are conscious
because we
make moments.
A kind of cultural sensitivity,
that strengthens discovery; a space
for identity and history.
It’s a style of thought,
chosen to highlight its core;
A lengthy discourse that
acts and synthesizes.
Significant efforts that deal
with elements of change.
It’s a trend to implicitness
that evolves on the Asian heartland.
Discoveries and re-discoveries
about Asianness or Orientalism,
its nature and institutional sense
has its roots to share; a wealth of faith.
Features of the colonial past
reflect the emergence and growth
of that conventional wisdom;
At the same time, a reaction –
to sensitivty and understanding.
It’s an important element to draw
and carry out integration anew;
with other cultures or global forces
in developing nations; a relationship
a blend of strength, a sharing of gifts.
Asia seeks and grapples
with a great deal of systems;
In a world market swamped
with Eurocentric mindsets, a challenge-
a reinforcement that has its semantic shield,
that defends otherness and people with differences.
