AFTER THE FLOOD

Mount Ararat holds a testament
of stories told in ancient texts,
and stories shared down generations;
the aftermath of catastrophe.

Place names are the remembering
of gratitude as the Ark was drawn out of the water[1],
and the place of the descending[2]
into the village of the eight[3]~
survivers making pilgrimage[4] to the site of sacrifice[5].

Noah's Ark is resting there upon the mountain,
in archeological insistance,
and science is confirming the reality
of God's Judgment and His mercy.

The Drogue Stones[6] bear the witness to Noah's great adventure,
The Turks placing tourist signposts[7]
so we may walk the footsteps
of Noah and his progeny.

AFTER THE FLOOD
(tanka)

do doves remember
their ancient elder flying
over flood ravage
then returning to the ark
with a twig of new-found hope

Apiece of heaven
In twenty seven
Falls from the sky
So many will die
Some are left to cry
The world will reel
But it will heal
It needs to be understood
Fire burns all that's wood
For food people will fight
The world looses its light
Forever night
The world changes
Rearranges
Gone is the places we knew
No plants grew
Most animal life
Lost amid the strife
Mankind's darkest hour
No one in power
Dark days ahead
How will the survivers be fed
Confusion runs free
This frightens me
All that I see
A world go's mad
Sad
Struggling to survive
Those still alive
Don't know if I want to be there
So unfair
End of time
End of my rhyme

Survivers

i saw the light
into the darkness
and I felt myself alive
in the chamber
of your heart
it was a slaughter
may the light
clean our sins

Zombie Apocalypse

The old bell chimes at four,
A sound no one could ignore.
The dead rise and the sky falls,
The pouring rain washing it all.
For this world is at the mercy of it's sins,
As death invites itself in.

Fate, oh my fate, hid me from this end.
Fate, oh my fate, let the world bend and break.
As a sword staked through the heart of an empty shell,
Left with only hunger and hell.

The survivers scorn through the roads
Near the Thames river,
Splashing as the old souls shiver.
The world in a war between life and death,
As it watches them take in their last breath.

When You Die, What Will You Be Remembered For

"In These Days, We Prayed"

19/04/2019

*************************

On this journey, we call life,
We are all survivers.
Striving daily,
Hoping for another life.

But time,
And the time cometh for us also to die.
When you pass away
What will you be remembered for?

Of stakes, in deeds
Of love or hate
Of either good or evil
When you do pass away,
What will you be remembered for?

Dirges at funeral sites
One moment of silence observed,
Then, altogether We forget the dead,
To truly die.

As memories
Are blisters on a sore throat.
And Dreams,
Nightmares when a sisters body bloat.

We will all die
Later or Sooner,
We never really know when or how.
Yes! We are but men.
So when you do pass away
What will you be remembered for ?

Never giving up the fight is Beautiful
But whats most Beautiful is
