Straining- thinking too hard for something that's so easy

I Am the Parcel Straining In Vain Where I Am

I had to look up from the
forest floor to find my way

Though, lost in marvel,
my eyes "did" want to stay

Across the forest floor
decay danced with birth

Circled rings within grain
measure years of worth

My pace raced through a
forest of thought, save face

Unraveling roots traced and
laced with leaf lay waste

Thorn and vine thickets
gave chase to slowed pace

With newly lifted eyes
I see where I've been, was,
and am

Yet this parcel strains
In vain where it stands

To Hear Ears Are Straining

To Hear Ears Are Straining

After both of my ears again were straining;
Heard Barr experienced obedience training.
And he must,
Have to adjust;
Down on him Trump's power will be reigning.
