On Doctor’s day
(dedicated to all doctors who heal the society)
Busy wards
where noise fills the air,
those steady hands
and humble hearts that care;
Doctors help you walk
through the path of light,
amidst darkest days
and long sleepless nights.
With stethoscopes
they catch a tender beat,
mend thy hearts
and cure the disease;
All eyes,
they see the silent plea,
and strive to get
patients disease free.
As wisdom guides,
with every word,
a hope renewed,
a spirit stirred;
They battle illness,
fear and pain,
in quest for health,
breaking every chain.
From labs where
breakthroughs make hay,
to clinics where
the children play;
In every corner,
in every street,
their very being
makes our lives complete.
Through trials harsh
and victories sweet,
in every pulse,
in each heartbeat;
Doctors heal
with grace and might,
they are the saviours,
bringing us light.
So here's to those
who wear the white,
with courage bold
and vision so bright,
In gratitude,
we sing their praise;
For doctors' hands,
our lives they raise.

The white know blacks who used a lantern:
Kazeem: Ray Hospital’s New Intern;
By female admirers surrounded,
I kept gazing at him astounded…
As he saw patients went down complaints,
Quick releases from Hell, no more faints!
Rather, a houseman like placebo;
Not all the time his arrows found bow:
Thus, Black Doctor white patients just want,
To the other Black Stethoscopes “Don’t!”
Might it be his lot to change this scene;
Strict white patients tell with smiles “You’re mean.”
About some Black Doc point to as Guide
And dare to claim that he did this hide?
Black Doctor loved by White Patient,
Not from High Intelligent Quotient…

Can't quite put my finger
on the actual ingredients,
but I know it's you by
the flavorful residue.
Sometimes I cannot
hear everything you say
but I'm in tune with
your mouthful of subtle
affirmations
All of your yeses
has me attentively listening
As if my ears were stethoscopes
and I was prescribed
to give your heart hope.
I listen although
I do not know your definition
I can still use you
in every one of my
sentences
Visually, your framed
as my foundation
for the crown I was
meant to wear
Some call it bling
but I say you've been
roots that lead
to a golden oasis
I akin you to the sun
Your scent rivals
summer flowers
I can close my eyes
and know just where I am
as if the junction between
your thighs were a field of clover
And there was no need
to search further,
but dive right on in
You see I know you
without knowing knowing you
because I am
always dreaming about
the description of you
Described as I am.

Nurse Anne
Snow steeped in mountains and mountains steeped in snow
Evergreens and pine trees hold the earth with purpose
Nurse Anne steps into hospital from brutal winter cold
Measures stethoscopes and takes gentle pulses
Takes care of bullet wounds and children on her rounds
Wears white, green or blue uniforms or gowns while working
That’s pure speculation as you know
Nurse Anne is not a lawyer according to close sources
She writes poetry on line, refines them in her leisure time
Her prescription for good health and life is simple
Eat vegetables, fishes and less meat
Most importantly, Breath, (it helps a lot)
Take moderation in everything
Get plenty of rest and sleep
And if you can’t be intelligent or stay on your toes
At least stay on your feet
Naturally a life spent vertically is not advised
Nurse Anne wants us all to exercise
She will help you to get by and back to skiing
With her good guidance and by being wise
She does her noble work then travels home
Returns to evening
To writing poems at her own leisure
