Be smart...
stop trying to act smart
Be alive...
stop talking about life
Make a decision...
stop fearing the possible outcomes
Pick a direction...
—stop spinning your wheels in space
(Villanova Pennsylvania: May, 2019)
It's insanity, for all is vanity;
It's like spinning your wheels, going nowhere fast.
Getting caught up in things that will not last.
Building your hopes upon the sand;
Wasting your time on an already foiled plan.
One that is ruined before it gets off the ground.
Build your hopes on something sound.
In Jesus Christ there is righteousness;
And upon His bosom you can rest.
The thing that has been is that it shall be,
And an ear never wearies of hearing and an eye of all is shall see and see.
A sea is not full of the rivers that flow,
And a man full of knowledge will still need to know.
More about Jesus and His mission on earth,
And what to the man the mission is worth.
Life everlasting...it's simple and plain,
So let not your living be in vain.
Ecclesiastes - Chapter 1
When you focus on things beyond your control
Is like dishing up heap of frustration in a large bowl
Pacing back and forth biting your nails
Depression takes the wind right out of your sails
Stress becomes your new best friend
Swimming with anxiety in the deep end
Your mind and body are weak and frail
You feel you are living in the depths of hell
Trying to save the world when nobody cares
Leaves you shaking your head fully aware
You are the one who is spinning your wheels
While they wonder Hmmm what’s the big deal?
So listen to my words and take heed
Ask God to help you to plant the seed
For them to feel the truth of conviction
To turn around and flee from their addictions
And don’t forget to set your focus where it belongs
For only Jesus has the power to right the wrong.
You will find when you give them to the Lord
It releases the pressure and peace is your reward.
