Spice doesn’t Like me Anymore
David J Walker
Spice doesn’t like me anymore
A taco would be nice
With a little Spanish rice but
Spice doesn’t like me anymore
Some frijoles with grated
cheddar cheese
would be fine but let me
add please,
leave off the jalapeno
cause its just No Bueno
Spice doesn’t like me any more
At one time I could eat it with ease
But now not even Chinese
That Goo goo Guy Pan is for a
Younger man
Cause Spice doesn’t like me anymore
So what am I supposed to eat
That doesn’t have just a little heat
There are very few dips
As good as Salsa and Chips
Too bad
Cause Spice isn’t nice
And nothing will suffice
And it’s hard to think twice
About paying the price
For guacamole with chipotle
Once more
But Spice doesn’t like me
Anymore
Mi dulce amor….
There’s nothing more I can say,
I love you in each and every way…
You’re on my mind, both night and day….
Mi dulce amor….
Kisses sweeter than honey,
Your love is more valuable than money,
I love when you crack jokes, they’re oh so funny….
Mi dulce amor….
I’ll travel this world with you,
I’ll live and breathe for you,
I’ll be there for you,
I’ll show that I care for you,
I’ll continually prove that I love you,
And will place no one above you.
Mi dulce amor….
The sun shall rise,
And while I look into your eyes,
It is no surprise,
With you is where my heart lies…
I cherish your smile,
I never want to make you cry again….
I only want to be that man you prayed for….
I want to be the best thing in your life….
I want to be the one you adore….
I want you to be my one and only….
Mi dulce amor.
Guitars seduce me
With stacatto semi-tones
Spanish Gypsy scales
I ONLY SPEAK SECOND-RATE SPANISH
I didn’t say it then, but I can say it now -
I can say many things in many languages, and how!
English, Russian, French and the lovely Spanish tongue.
First one I started with, when I was young,
Was Spanish - learned in The States and
Obviously Mexican Spanish, perfectly at hand
For communicating with half a billion who likewise speak,
If in Latin America and over world you seek.
I chanced to meet a long-lost acquaintance,
A snobbish woman of little real substance,
Who spoke Spanish and we practised our learned word.
Oh, she says, you speak only Mexican Spanish. She demurred
- Not real Spanish………
Actually what she thaid wath, “You thpeak Mekthican Thpanish”
Real Thpanish ith called Cathtellano……
You would not be underthtood in Thpain, oh no!”
I obviously disappointed her with my inferior ability
She certainly disappointed me with her snobbery.
Now I can say that speaking Spanish is a pleasure
But thpeaking Thpanish is a torture.
The people of Thpain will have to be denied my voice
But the billion others may hear its song and joys.
