Always feels naughty to us
For to tingle so.
Bare-sodded, bare-streamed; cool, cool;
To dab, dip a toe.
The worst frivolity, bar
Being wholly nude!
"Look away now!" What's on our mind.
To worm's, fish's prude. We

For the Children
Worry much about the coming.
Of early evening sunsets.
Another mountain moved, for the children.
Oh the burden, like lead weights.
Pulling concern, “am I reaching them.”
All the sleepless nights, for the children.
Underneath the useless ropes.
Of the blind administration.
She fights on, for the children.
Painful hands, from like sodded work.
Not of the earth but of the heart.
Love and compassion, for the children.
I am so proud of how much she gives.
To breakthrough, to inspire.
My wife is a teacher, for the children.

I happened on a forest clearing
in a ramble through the wood,
and found upon the sodded green
below me where I stood,
a note inscribed by blade on bone
written sometime past,
"Go back and hide among the trees,
or this hour be your last."
Not meant for me this dire plea,
and danger it betokened,
yet if it were still I'd choose
to live out in the open.

We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."
-Anaïs Nin
Memories of heart, half buried in open graves,
expectations etched in enchanted dreams.
Tear sodded sights, dry preoccupied minds
unknown truth camouflage visible known lies.
Clear 20/20 vision all blurred beyond a veil,
thought filled head, blankets a dawdled mind.
Temptress of emotions, seduces and misleads
distorted light bends, through eyes of prism mind.
Bright yellow refracts, into shades of sunset pink,
deep blue shimmers in orange hide and seek.
We morph and mould, a cocktail of our own,
rivulets scream soft roars, of invisible torrents.
I see sunflowers blooming on your snowflakes,
bumbling butterflies, or insects in cocoon ?
You see distant deep craters all dusty faraway...
My eyes blaze in love, as I see my beautiful moon.

Young generation ardor from sculpted hero borrows
Older generation, torpor to graft peaceful tomorrows
Can young eyes through steely sheath glimpse marrow
O'er from dried paint, the blood stains that do burrow
From pursed lips, do the painful strains bellow
O'er from silent gun, percussive waves billow
Youthful glint on glimmering memorial glows
From aged lens, vicarious tears solemnly flow
Lad's fawning beams on chivalric statue strew
Elder's sorrowful squints the mediated surface furrow
Young mind each, savory fold does swallow
Aged intellect each corroded line does follow
On gilded bust, youth's prating eyes wallow
Gaunt septuagenarian mourns core now hollow
Around girth, innocent lids embrace time's fleeting shadow
Experienced hearts scorn clones strung from future gallows
New hopes, dreams cover the base now fallow
New doubts, fears sweep sodded ground, now sallow
