Only thirty-three tries times ten plus three,
not a sacred sweep more or a line less;
That looks like an angel number to me;
Numerology with style to impress
whispers gently speaking eloquently;
‘Writers bring the world fervor and finesse.
As the Muse sends torrential stars falling,
onto the page letters land snowballing.’

The hill I climbed though tough and slow,
Had glistened in the morning snow.
When at the top, I scooped the ground,
As in my hands, I rolled it round.
Then as I stood upon the ledge,
I placed the ball at mountain’s edge.
I gave a push with sly intent,
And thus began the ball’s descent.
Pristine to start and slightly small,
The snow amassed upon the ball.
With seconds in from widened eyes,
It tripled from it’s starting size.
And down along the mountain side,
It now appeared to be as wide,
For end to end was packed with snow,
And danger for the town below.
Of boundless speed from pleasant roll,
This ball of snow had no control.
So small and helpless at the top,
Had turned a ball that couldn’t stop.

Snowman - A Didactic Cinquain
Snowman
Large, abominable
Sledding, happening, ornamenting
Sometimes I'd dream about snowballing

Miserably one bright sunny morning
I was happy to see rain was pouring
That day I went to a zoo in the sky
Saw elephants fly, and hyenas cry.
Zebras looked awesome, red, amber and green
That was their stripes, the best I’ve ever seen
The monkeys thrilled, swinging from star to star
And all met up in the Milky Way bar.
Yummy milkshakes in outer space
With flavours to suit every taste
Chocolate’s the best, flown from Mars
Hand delivered by shooting stars.

One night out snowballing with my pal Josh
‘Twas hot in the sun so went for a jog
Our horses started to gallop, pace slow
High speed of a snail, yet fierce was the throw.
We ended up flat on our backs face down
Standing tall and proud lay down on the ground
We ran all the way home, lame from the fall
Parents went frantic, impressed by it all.

Outside the snow is falling
The children are sleighing
Sometimes they start snowballing
Outside the snow is falling
“Dinner is served”, their Mom is calling
The children don’t hear what she’s saying
Outside the snow is falling
The children are sleighing!

Whispers in the wind
travels a great distance
to be heard and understood
without rhyme or reason
throughout every season
changes appear growing
in many directions
with new voices speaking the way
through stormy weather
the planet shifts in evolution
on sacred ground
deep freezes cracking the surface
shattering beneath reflected light
heating bright forming crystals
through the night
snowballing affects earth and sun
whispering in the wind of misunderstood.

The snowflakes are falling on my nose and my face.
I now think back to my special place.
I remember the times that I was so young.
We played in the snow and it was pure fun.
Laying and laughing making angels in snow.
Running and falling, getting wet to the bone.
Snowballs rolled as big as the house.
Snowmen all dressed with family and spouse.
Sledding and falling off of the sled.
Crying to Mom, showing bumps on our head.
Snowballing Dad when he pulled in the drive.
Running like crap when he returned our fire.
Dad`s snowballs really burned when they hit.
Mom would yell out, having a fit.
Ice skating when we wandered down to the lake.
Eating icicles that formed on the house.
Mom calling us in to get warm for a bit.
Yummy Hot Chocolate..Mom made with Love.
Times that I treasure and will never forget.
Look out the window.........
Is it Snowing yet???
