Snippets of Spring vol 2

Lyricism of wisteria ruses…peacocking muses gushing tomes

Classicism flocking..roams & woos homes not garden gnomes

Colourful creepers cruising..schmoozing with boisterously blushing bricks

Spring exudes mysticism..oozes oodles of bamboozling serendipity flushing

Cherished fingers rushing freely..delivers..unctuous ravishingly rambunctious

Relished slivers lavishly lingers..embellished..proudly protrudes

Inspires rhyming platitudes about gratitude...fires fresh

Attitudes across a range of altitudes & latitudes

Sprinkling wryly of vintner's drily sparkle...ends strange debacle...

Skint stints of wily skinflint winter’s splinters..with hints of now..Spring sprints

But also somehow.. if one squints..get an inkling of change..

Glints of summer's tints slyly twinkling

Skinflint

In wild vanity your curiosity hunts
What no greedy archer ever shot;
And pining under unrequited labor,
You’ll condemn your inclement lot.

In ceaseless tilling your brow
Shall toil endlessly under sun,
Till no sweat sits on your skin;
And return with no medal won.

For your parsimonious hand
Withholds the destitute's alms;
Making poor riffraff folks curse
The sting of your stingy palms.

Kindest Heaven's warning counsel
Patient gracious amnesty supplies;
Now open those hoarding stores,
And heed the unfortunate's cries.

Shares everything of his, lower than the normal dose
Kindred and all relatives in the house, share one hose
Incredibly stingy that on both his hands, weed grows
No seat around, he shares the flower pot with the rose
For his son’s laboured breathing, he offers his own nose
Life roars in long poetry, he sees it in a short prose
In all his displayed portraits, none has his complete pose
Nearly a millionaire but his family borrows
Tortured soul, clinging unto self with hands, always close.

Premium MemberSnag a Tango Hummingbird Mint Bush

Beautiful bush called tango hummingbird mint
Glows a fiery blue with oranges in a glint,
Hummingbirds, honey bees, butterflies too,
Love this plant with the orange and the blue.

I have been trying to buy these bushes for a while.
I am always polite and use my best smile.
I call them on the phone and give them my credit card,
Always out-of-stock, as these are amazing out in the yard.

I have come to a conclusion; there is only one way.
I have thought of it for a year, six months, and a day.
The only way to snag a tango hummingbird mint
Is to find a start off a neighbor, and not a skinflint.

Spendthrift...Skinflint

                              spendthrift
                       extravagant, wasteful
                  buying, shopping, squandering
               presents, parcels, deposits, interest,
                    counting, banking, hoarding
                            tightfisted, miserly
                                    skinflint
