APHORISMS OF Q (VOL. 1/viii)
I found a most enchanting place
Where all is pure, wonderful and safe
And then I dared to look around
And found my self in the mind of a child
The Lunatic living in my right brain
painted two ships on the watery horizon.
I folded the image into a paper crane
and it flew into the sea to die in.
The sun went down with a flash of green
and the Lunatic began to laugh
I asked him why he was causing such a scene
and he said the crane was my epitaph.
A battle a day
A prayer to say
Keep sin away
Turn night to day
A life I'm to live
For sin I will grieve
His Word is a sieve
His Life I will live
I live just for Him
It is not a meme
His Light like a beam
Brightens my heart's dim
Rejoice, O you saint!
Be strong, do not faint.
Beyond death, being "late"
See the Pearly Gate!

Cant cool the calm collected
Been at home base resurrected
Live life like a zombie corrected
To be more than human
To be in love with a woman
Is all that it takes
So don’t fear the breaks
Till when it breaks
All alone your ass
Still shakes
Does it think of me
And all the slaps
I gave
It’d probably put
Me on the rack
For days

Have gone so far
To be left behind
No longer longing for a reward
To set the record straight
I know I lived every day
But these thoughts are rearranged
Can’t remember and I forgot
What I was after in the first place
What I sought now I’m after
Is for someone to fill the part
This aching in my heart
To find someone
To play her part
To make me an honest man
Well, that is the plan
All I want is someone to to know me
Someone to listen to me
All I want is someone to to know me

All I want is some one to decipher me.
Last few years I thought to myself that I was very clever,
I hung on to this thought for it seemed it was in me forever.
I thought by being clever I could change the world around me,
I tried and failed and my life is only misery to be.
Now as this new year dawns I am trying to be wise,
and the first thing I need to be is kind and nice.
I have reconciled that I need to grow daily and be,
at the best and to do so I have to change me.

Today is a gift
It could help me shift
From feeling sad wishing
Things could have been different, uplifting
The truth is thin for me
Maybe for you too
To uplift my spirits
And thank my higher power
For giving me each hour
To love my life and begin again
To make the best of what I’ve been given
Each day to relax, interact, connect,
To live, love and learn
All past mistakes to accept
And move on without regrets

must've be a ton of fun

That's right my stuff is bad
unfortunately I am a lot older than a wee lad
although it might make my mommy glad
to see my poetry is not sad
I try to make it funny
or even a little sunny
while at work making money
on this dreary Monday
So I hope this makes you smile
maybe recite it in style
while you're pushing that mile
or maybe making your own freestyle.
