Depending On Offending

Depending On Offending

On certain things had been depending,
And how repulsive it was and offending;
Surely outrageous;
Could be contagious;
Disrupted while upsetting and upending.

Chaos
                   loud, wild
     rattling, upending, sabotaging
     Toxin, Despair, Remedy, Hope
    encouraging, stabilizing, healing
                  quiet, calm
                      Peace.

MORGAN WITH TULIPS

toothy and yellow.
Sun-petals next to
my grandson, who

at eleven chuckles
at the mere two pictures
under the title.

Seasonal surmise, of
one planting, upending soil -
captured with one grand sun
and a pearly white smile.

Canmore

Splashed carelessly aside
poised, patiently resisting
every earthen pull. Only you reside,
carved statuette persisting
tethered on stony mountain tops
asking much of fortunes favor.
Catching crisp sunlight, life stops
upending sensibilities; labor
like your brother Banff. Capture
all the beauty of the world,
record it for the rapture.

	My last farthing I did bequeath thee
           The Queendom was fresh, ‘twas 1953
        You put the coin to use, planting a tree

         The frail sapling grew roots deep, leaves green
            Fruit decorated the branches, an elysian dream

	  Then pests invaded, with goggles and sprays
            Two-legged devastation machines

Media noise unrelenting
   Massive armament-spending
Extremism transcending
   Holocausts never ending

How much better now, our enlightened Life --
