Torrid man has a hateful horrid heart
of unsacred unsaved unsecured sacrificial Stones Heart porm
Heart of Stone
Spirit of stone
5/2>/20
Written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2020
Terror unending
Bliss unendured
Iron will unbending
Love unsecured
If God be willing
Truth will be found
In some bird's bright trilling
In some bell-like sound
And if walls should crumble
And towers should fall
My heart will be found
Buried under it all

Encore
David J Walker
The Straight-Line life will
find a way to wind
its way in time
Save the savings they say
for a future day
Save the savings for
play days and dates in a future
unsecured
I am the today onstage
there will be no encore
and therefor
No tomorrow
No yesterday
SAND PROMISES
Some promises are set firm in stone
Foundations supporting them forever
Yet in a tide’s constant ebb and flow
Others get washed away in the sand
A pity, but often easy to understand
Well-meant, yet are unsecured below
Unable to survive inclement weather
And unworthy to ascend any throne
Overspending the bulk
of my temporal capital
Hourly deficits climb
and pile into notes
Debts I’ll never repay
stored in vaults I can’t find
Words lying uncashed,
as I write overdrawn
Pledging to go back
and re-sign what’s untendered
I’m unforgiven—overdue,
my fate unsecured
(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2015)
Around and around we go
Faster and faster the wheels roll.
Left and right are a blur.
Chasing an end never to come.
Come play the game now.
Don’t you want to be someone?
He's a lawyer she's a thief
Both stealing beyond belief.
Gold and precious are they
What they desire in this play.
Unsure and unsecured their prey
Put your guard up, protect yourself this day
O’ no, the Washington swamp media rails
and the hypocrites are all telling tall tales.
A war plan group chat
on an unsecured app
but how soon they forget Hillary’s emails!
Fly boys were good to go in their cockpit
and the Houthi strike targets were all hit.
A successful mission plan
unlike Joe’s Afghanistan
so those filled with outrage are full of sh*t!
Written: March 2025
I killed my hope within me
And found it quite stillborn.
I let my anger sway me
And met the perfect storm.
My vessel looks unaltered,
My future seems assured,
But destiny has faltered.
Intent is unsecured.
My every motion runs
Away into the night.
My agitation shuns?
The still small voice of right.
No weapon comes so ready
And willing to the hand
Than that which will unsteady
The ground on which I stand.
Christopher M. Swan 2008
whether bound and dragged
behind a pick-up
‘til limbs slowly dismember
or shackled hand and foot
then tossed unsecured
into the back of a rolling
makeshift coffin
whether judge, jury or executioner
all don the same hat
and fancy themselves a God
and your only crime was to exist
in pigmentation unlike their own
let us not forget our tears
our laughter, our blood
our date with mortality
these common threads
that bind us
On the back of a chair, a plastic bag
Hangs by one of its carry loops
The other free to move in the breeze
Which enters from the window nearby
Back and forth, fitfully waves the free loop
Calling me, or something near me
Passing on a beckon from the atmosphere
To whom addressed?
What elements are signalling each other
Beyond my understanding, if not notice;
What their arcane subject?
Within my being, something shivers
As the unsecured loop
Waves me on.
