Existence a great learning curve
A journey to sway and to swerve\
Whilst society attempts to unnerve
Communities we need to conserve
Help others with kindness we serve
Self love is what we deserve

his bearing, proper patrician
Sterling the gent's reputation
throughout his chosen vocation
A man of dignity and reserve
whose stare can a ghost unnerve
Frankly, he makes me quite nervous
though one day I'll be needing his service
the silence of this place
used to unnerve me
now I can taste
the quiet serenity
to truly hear the sound
we need to hush
too much noise around

when all else harms,
a necessary space, the self's alarm!

God's promised balm!
As the clouds fold into the earth,
I fold without you, meaningless in worth.
As so the sun controls reserve
of dewdrops, so in truth my heart conserves!
The edge of time is but a moments serve
to all who beckon me ~ while thee, unnerve.
I pray to listen more thy heart's relate
the loss between us find ~ do underrate!
So ne'er again, the earth, nor sky doth mate ~
It is within thy eye ~ I fold my fate!
Too oft interpreting my nerve
can miss the chance to know reserve,
not diabolical but serve
to know a hope in thee, unswerve.
Is constant as the day takes curve
and waits upon but not unnerve.
Is waiting, as the day holds urge
do wait on holding thee in verve!
From thy own restless heart's conserve
holds prayer to open thy observe.
Where fear treads not, and God defers
our struggle in each other's, near ~
To His affirm in Glories cheer!
For a time I witnessed
Power and its abuse.
Police all throughout the land,
Creating fear with no excuse.
People whose creed once claimed,
To 'protect and serve'.
Seemed to evolve, unchecked,
To intimidate and unnerve.
This conduct is intolerable,
Its roots need torn apart.
Stains, left on every officer's badge,
Just inches from their heart.
How then to control
This power given those?
Maybe all doors should be opened,
With none left to close.
