Adrenaline
There is too much energy,
coincidentally,
Too much memory,
incrementally,
Too much sensory,
What has entered me
So unnaturally?

Kama Sutra Typos
We got tangled up in bed
Our legs, hands, fingers, bodies
Unnaturally twisted, intertwined
All crazy angles…
Why? Because of Kama Sutra typos!...

a hunch
Dripping over with the magic sense, you
With violet wings soar unnaturally low.
I split with your cloud's grief my own adieus—
And the words that can hold your barbed mind close,
A place where there's dreams— I hope— to shed to....

Mere husks remain, unnaturally strewn, lying by the dozens on a red-soaked field. Once stoutly girded, masking fiery resolve underneath unassuming exteriors, naught but the faintest hints linger, sad siren calls to former greatness.

Alone Again Naturally
It’s the ticking, ticking of the clock
I’m alone again unnaturally
And I hear the black dog
Growling, sneering at me
It doesn’t go away
As I close my eyes
I will still see
The black dog
Growling, sneering at me
Even if it leaves today
It will be back soon anyway.

Every Day Every Night
The Sun rises on all of us everyday
The moon and stars shine every night
On all of us, all earthly things,
Rocks, water, dust, plants, animals, and men
who have made walls, borders, and sorting out..
Ignoring what within and what are out
In make ups lives, somehow, many of us live unnaturally....

Premium Member A Dyed Flower and a Simulated Gemstone
a dyed flower is like a simulated gemstone
they are unnatural,
unfounded, rather orchestrated,
unnaturally pretty,
prettier than the natural
flowers and the natural gemstones
people are sometimes like this,
unnatural, unfounded, rather orchestrated,
prettier than the natural people.
They are real, just in a better way,
easier to appreciate and love...

Premium Member Grandma Cottonwood
Grandmother Cottonwood’s leaves glistened.
Shaking their silver sides against the breeze.
Glossy and pointedly sculpted, a few listened.
As her main twig rolled up his sleeve.

I had not seen a talking tree since Babes in Toyland.
Expected some marching and a mariachi band.
The woods were unnaturally quiet and stark still.
North wind providing a coldish autumn chill....

Lately tesselating thoughts
grin unnaturally
at mental gates wide open
to the mosaic of evil.
Is there ever a Requiem
that can sate the abyss
that craves a Requiem?
An Amazonian Gardener
for Death Valley,
their own self a Valley of Death?

Black coffee meltdown
walking down the street.
The 100-year-old bell chimes 11 times,
and I cross my fingers.

Her email was 77....

Possibilities
I am burdened with the knowledge of a million aftermaths.

My mind splits each possibility, each more real than the last.

Each path is unnaturally woven with rapid memories.

As I reach more deeply.

I discover that I can see the pieces of a family I used to be a part of.

And the paths that were dull and nonsensical-

Are eclipsed with smiling fragments that turn poignant....

Premium Member Flatsie Dolls
flatsie dolls pretty
in the eye of the beholder,
not for its shapely flesh
cookie cutout figures, shoes
positioned unnaturally
to their sides.

so what draws in the girly-crowd?
hair so plush, sometimes in pink
and a Shirley Temple dress
just below each cheek.

flatsies went out of style,
never glamour dolls
but bring a smile
when pinterest chances
a childhood peek.

Stiffness
I try not to.
I blink anyway.
Like blinking out seawater.
It pours.
Goosebumps are uncontrollable.
Sitting for hours.
Sitting unnaturally.
But I can’t shift, only sway.
They command me to stand.
My feet are asleep, but that’s not the worst of it.
I see my surroundings again.
Bed.
I’m embarrassed.
I lie down and become stiff again.
I don’t bother with the blanket.
It never helps.
I don’t bother crying.
It never ever helps....

What Lies
What lies.

What lies
Among beds of roses
The promises of spring
The ever-fragrant highs

What sighs
When its stems are clipped
Dropped into a vase
Far from azure skies

will it try
Wo shamelessly adorn
Bouquets, wilted petals stripped
Trimmed of dreaded thorns

Will it cry
Because it lack the worth
The beauty it once held
When it was bedded in the earth

Will it die
Forced unnaturally to graph
The flower in the urn may smile
But it will never laugh...
