Ingratitude
a praying mantis
on knees busy revering
me so bewildered
if this small mortal complies
why humans are ungracious...

Saturday Night Hounds
They climbed
resuming the mongrel form,
The twelve.
A catcalling mob
burdened by sympathetic stimulants,
Procured from the neck.
Yippering yowls
break from a youth,
Torn from thick, incongruous lips.
As a pack
they leap onto the quivering metal,
Slender paws slapping on ice.
Ice all round;
leering...over bearing... ungracious ice
To aid their whimpering might....

Tough Love...
Are the Angel's feathers double dipped,
quills of gold but bloody tipped...
is wrath upon the many unknowing,
going,showing unhealthy stowing...
ungracious of the promised precious,

To a Siren
You enchanted

With the things you wrote

-- With Love, and Respect --
With Love and Respect

An ungracious sea
Of turbulent thoughts
A virtuous course
               Of dismay
The forsaken ports,
The hindered refuge,
The callous advice
               Of disgrace
In a perfect storm
Came a tranquil calm
As a ray of hope;
               I can breathe
With brilliant display
The darkness is slain
You guided me back
               Out to sea

With love and respect
I’ll never forget
               Your kindness
