A Soul Uncoiled

Celestial
hues
capture the galactic dance
of angels,

   Moon drenched lagoons
caress the coral stars
where silent legends
fall,

come with me
and see,
where endless grandeur
walks the beach
of
God,

come sing our souls
beside the
great
and changing
sea.,

and free,

the uncoiled
spirit
   of
  our
    love.

Spiritual Friend

Little butterfly in gentle flight. Evil of curiosity plays on kid's mind. To a cave hidden, I’m led as blind At the mouth, a creature of fright. Menacing, uncoiled a grass snake. Grey spots on sleek skin; unbearable. Still as a rod, I stood, life at stake. Hysteric Mum reached me; a miracle. The alcove gave into an abyss!... Grass snake is now my friend.

The Water's Tender Surface Hides Horror

DEAD are these fathom of times by change; lies
of not tongue but heart, nay, soul as dead coral made
as now ocean die and her pearls wilt and destroyed
by poison of mankind.
All fades by that terrible hand called Mankind.
As doth suffer the sea-change
uncoiled and spoiled by rich and strange.
 Sea-nymphs SCREAM in tumultuous toil
singing, "DING-DONG.
LISTEN!  HEAR WORLD -- DEATH!"

Is- a Terran Serpent

The fanged serpents are uncoiled
And they have encircled the landmass
From the Mediterranean to Euphratis and Tigris
And Paris
They hiss, they hiss.

IS is a snake
With claims fake
Eclipsing Bagdad and neighbourhood
With a huge hood.

ISIS is no Nile-flooding Isis
With any Osiris!
ISIS is an acronymic onomatopoeia
Uncoiled now and coiled then
With a long dia.
ISIS is hiss, hiss is IS
ISIS, ISIS.

Old Tom's Dts

Old Tom crawled out of his home hole
Beneath the tavern on the square
When I was only ten years old
And dared not see what was not there.

He told me Main Street had a snake
And raved about its uncoiled size.
I watched him tremble, piss and shake
At hissing deep beneath his eyes.

But I was ten, too young to see
That every caring has its cost.
The serpent was not real for me--
It had been bred from what Tom lost.

Premium Member DREAM-DRENCHED EPIPHANY

Velvety moonlit dreams uncoiled beneath my feet, drifting in a gossamer rush.
Soft ambient currents circled my ears, their tones dissolving the world to a quiet hush.
My reflection stepped out of a mirror, carrying a beacon woven from dusk and breath.
It pressed the light into my chest, where forgotten constellations stirred from ancient Opeth

dream-born knowing a veil lifting from within~ I woke into myself
