Premium Member really mommy
Really Mommy? The annoyed preteen kitty cat said.
I am trussed up and there are antlers on my head.
Do not fuss said Mama Cat or you can be the tree.
Stuck with a blinking star and tinsel scratchy to thee....

Dazed and Confused
Love has me now
all trussed up helpless
alone scared to the soul
wandering in circles
within my mind
I see the flash
I wait for thunder
a single raindrop falls
drowning me
love has me now
I smile
then wait
for another storm...

1970's Fix
1970’s FIX

Tied, bound, cinched
Must-a-bin-bad

Fastened, secured, fixed
Must-a-bin-bad

Trussed, restrained, enslaved
Must-a-bin-bad

Strung, laced, affixed
Best lay still

Learn not fight it, else
It gets tighter

Cold, Cold Ground
The cold, so cold ground
Binding and pulling
And holding me down

Embraced by the crypt
Confined and restrained
And life’s breath stripped

Stygian inked
Such stifling dark
And soul’s light extinct

I find myself here
Trussed by death’s grave
Without hope, just fear

In the cold, cold ground
Decayed and corrupt
Neath my burial mound
...

A Thanksgiving
You flutter in my pulse
like a small bird,
open wide-eyes
beneath my skin.
We are clasped in the hasp
of an opening and closing,
saturated and indentured
to pleasure-trussed
stirrings.
Hunting angels illuminate
our tongues and fingertips.
If we move too far
from each other
our flesh goes blind.
Gratitude is not enough
we endow each moment
to reverence....

Premium Member Matryoshka Nested Microcosms
Listen to poem:
Everything is a microcosm, like Matryoshka dolls nested.
Pass-a-parcel wrapped, layer on layer, with meanings to be divested.
Solution begets problem after problem en-wrapped, trussed and tied.
Resolution confronted by endless piles of issues, stacked high-plied
Inside each doll, another doll with doll inside, inside.
Each an epitome, a microcosm to be cracked and defied....

Premium Member Prankster Jack Frost
Jailed at home by a white, frozen world
Adorned by one unmindful Jack Frost.
Ceramic ice was recklessly hurled,
Kicking bitter, beast-winter across
Fields, woods, yards and modern built cities.
Rejoicing nature rules us as boss,
Offering risky snow trussed pretty.
Some people claim this day is a loss,
Taken by a prankster, Mister Frost.

Premium Member I Cannot Face a Whole Turkey
I cannot face a whole turkey
for when I see the leg sticks
trussed up in the air
it is undignified
and reminds me

there will be no more running days
no more flirting days
no more chasing dancing courting days
for this particular fowl

I prefer to purchase a turkey breast
knowing that you can live without a breast
it makes me feel less like a killer
more civilized somehow
as I push the corpse into the turkey bag....

COPLA CINCUENTA Y UNO: This Bad Guy World

Evil pounces on the defenceless
The covert path beckons the Bad Guy:
Pollutes pure blood

Watch how the Bad Guys congregate unless
Good Guys en bloc block Bad Guy ploy:
Altar sacred

When plots are hatched covered with lies
With Security Council vetoes:
Who sucks profits

All trussed up by treacherous spies
Truth’s smothered in accursed ghettoes:
Rich man’s glove fits

Premium Member Trussed Duck Alouette
Another lame duck
That ran out of luck
Encountered financial loss
A failure at work
Now seen as a jerk
He happens to be the boss!

Employees revolt
His feathers will moult
His dignity has been plucked
He needs a new perk
Lost wife then his work
In more than one way he’s f***ed.
