Mushrooms Mikkie

mushrooms can beguile the mind,
and toadstool eaten is unkind,
once gave my love wrong one to eat,
sickness came it wasn't sweet,
dangers for the blind..

Nev South Drive

An advance of clouds
Toward the North
Greeted the afternoon,
Crocodile head and turtles surfacing
Overhead spectrums low.
Bottoms drop tails to the ground,
The underside of a toadstool
Greeted evening.
And out of the hand that lifted it,
Boltings lanced to the ground
As night began its closing.

Snow Bird Elf Vacations Confidently

Toadstool house was surrounded by four leaf clover guards
Most thought they were decorative, but they had ears and minds.
They recorded all of the things the mice and the rabbits thought
Mind readers and repeaters, what more could a vacationer ask for?
Snow bird elf could not wait to return and see what they had learned.

toadstool tillie

Toadstool Tillie lives in a toadstool house
With a cat, a rat, a snake and a mouse.
A bunny comes by with his friend dragon.
“Can we please borrow your new red wagon?”

Toadstool Tillie has been burned before.
By people who borrow and never come back in the door.
Stealing her stuff, so she says “Only if we come with you.”
We do not agree, as the snake creeps us out, said Lou.

Spring Weather

Spring Weather Written: by Miracle Man 3-20-2020 Wind no longer whispers through the grass, but is leaving tracks for all to see. As i gaze skyward storm clouds amass, and I’m forced to shelter neath a tree. Cooling air always means without fail, (i wasn't born to be a toadstool.) Lightening flashing, here comes the hail, standing beneath this tree isn't cool.

In Bijou Bay

Polka dotted toadstool boogie was on ice today
Frilly and fancy, important in every kind of way
Are they putting on airs? Asked a prissy fellow fey
Not that I know of I said, scampering straight away

The frogs were croaking as if it were Saturday
In back of them I heard a large ugly bull frog bray
The bog is getting crazy, I said to my friend McVey
He said “That’s how it is down here on Bijou Bay”.

A Fairy Tale

Looking like a tiny princess
Her dress the palest blue
Gold dust falling round her
A happy giggle as she flew

She laughed and then went flitting
Around the garden park
Resting on a toadstool
Listening to the golden lark

Her feet in rosy satin slippers
With shiny buckles too
I knew I must be dreaming
When she sipped the morning dew

All to soon the picture faded
As I heard a voice so sweet
"Up my dear; its time for school"
Alas, my fairy dream complete............

Toadstool Wizard

Toadstool wizard with a heart of loveliness brilliant as a star
Headed toward the field where the roses and the corn stalks are.
We heard him coming, and we cleared out of the way.
He is the one we know will be excited, merry and gay.

Toadstool wizard with a soul of possibilities and a light manner,
Is always welcomed by the whole village, even the mayor, Tanner.
We cheer when we see him climb out of his Wizardly car.
He is a marvel, so magical, he shines like a magnificent star.
