Mist
Moving ever forward
Into the black of night, I
Still remembers the days when we were
Thick as thieves....

Fog thick as thieves reduces sight
Misty drops drip from eaves
All's quiet in nature's realm
How my heart slowly bleeds

Time seems to be swiftly ending
Days are numbered 'pon wall
See the calendar's pages move_

The Death of Her
She runs and withers
Confound it all!
Across she rests
What glaze crosses her eye
How she steals my lips!
The very words behind my throat!
Her envious appearance glances on my shoulder

Metropolis
There survives a burg, strangled by,

A fume as thick as thieves,

Where soaring glass stalagmites screen,

Premium Member Orange Day Lilies
The orange day lilies have bloomed again
returning each spring like an old friend
They grow so tall and close at night
each morning they open with the sunlight
Thick as thieves growing like weeds
they bring pleasure for all to see
Butterflies and humming birds
sweet the nectar for them it lures
Brightly orange with yellow inside
the smiles they bring cannot be denied
Orange Day Lilies a mother's gift
to this day my heart they lift....

Season of the Virus
Season of the Virus

The seasons shift as storms blow in,
falling leaves, thick as thieves, very bad men.

dawn rises early to watch the sun fall fast,
winded trees, blowing things away from the past.

Winter knows as the snowman blows first light then thick,
Old Mother Hubbard, empty cupboards, dying and sick.

Next seasons breeze an unavoidable sneeze, a virus sets in,
hot then cold, there's no one to hold, in lonliness my friend......
