Orange Day Lilies

The orange day lilies have bloomed again returning each spring like an old friend They grow so tall and close at night each morning they open with the sunlight Thick as thieves growing like weeds they bring pleasure for all to see Butterflies and humming birds sweet the nectar for them it lures Brightly orange with yellow inside the smiles they bring cannot be denied Orange Day Lilies a mother's gift to this day my heart they lift.
