Good morning, morning, it's a brand new day
The sun is shining, I'm on my way
To writing brand new poetry
Just for you, no one else can see
Or know what's in my heart but you
It's open, you can see right through
And test the waters with your own
Mine's for you, it's not on loan
Is it worth it?
Take a jump off the bridge
Or will you walk away
And remain a stray
Strip yourself of emotion
Shine out that inner light
Will you see?
Will you stop, go or yield?
Either as
A pit of demise
Or a black hole with a great disguise
Will take the chance
All in or fold

But theres once major difference

So feel free to take a swim

forever flowing to the sea
it knows where it goes
and with no guarantee
either sink or swim
in our own special way
we all test the waters
each and every day
there are some who do need a push
and they may lose or win
yet I will always go out on a limb
hold my head up and jump right in
without any second thoughts
unafraid to get my feet wet
altho' I can count on being caught by the current
there's no such thing as a safe bet
