INTRODUCTION
My caricature is outlined
In the jar of vocabulary
On the edge of expression
I tear into existence
Plying limits
Self imposed
Exposing me
Composing me
Your words like a blade
Tear into my soul
Leave me breathless
Unable to respond
My mind heavy with fog
Fighting through these thoughts
Explain to me why you have forsaken me
I must at least deserve this
Mirror
It's not only the dark circles under my eyes,
It's the darkness in my eyes
That drains the happiness from my face.
Demon’s tear into the corners of my vision
Waiting to thrill, to
Devour its fill and leave me in darkness.
Do your politics define you…
are your views then left or right?
Does the axe you grind cut sharp and clean
or tear into the night?
Do the precepts that you claim to own
just end up owning you?
Is every word what you believe
—and to thine self be true?
(Villanova Pennsylvania: January, 2019)
First comes friendship
then comes lies
Knowing each will not surmise
What other feelings come to be
when each is asked of less to be
When all are working for the cause
of doing other's parts
Not seeing each for what each has
That each will tear into the las'
And leaving others for the flaws
When knowing nothing much of passion
When all they see are lost reaction
Blood beyond this room -
Flows to scream -
Where i wake -
Breaks a river to tear into a stream -
Wrists, bound to the blade -
I am veined to the twist -
Wild by nature -
Matured to be unknown - Sentenced by the present -
To live -
I have to die -
Just to feel alive -
Death has my back, free to the knife -
Blunt is the meaning -
Why why has no reason -
Even in 200 odd seasons
Look at where your behavior led,
to the candles in my bedroom;
Close enough to smell my perfume;
Come, tear into this silken thread;
You may use the nickname instead,
I tend to call it a playroom;
Look at where your behavior led,
to the candles in my bedroom;
Wax dripping where it’s intended,
your glow on me turns to a plume;
Ready to give in and assume,
look at where your behavior led.
You lay awake at night
Thinking how it could have been
Your world is all grey now
You breathe in but nothing comes
Your lungs are filled with ice
And the chills goes straight to your heart. So as the world swallows you up
Knowing this is the end
Of all that could have been
So take that walk through the mirror
Where voices are unubible
And they tear into your soul You have been erased
For what you have done.
Form:
Today I cried a tear,
It rolled down my cheek and onto the walk,
The rain came and washed the tear into a creek,
The creek carried the tear into a great lake,
The lake sent the tear into a wondrous river,
The river brought the tear into a calm bay,
A wave placed the tear onto a sandy beach,
On the beach children laughed and played,
While older men fished,
And their hearts were filled with joy,
The tear was a tear of great joy...
I cry a tear
That only I can see
My past, present and future
It's me
Everything I say
And all that I do
A little hazy at times
My tears I see through
Days I feel lost
And A little confused
But the tears I cry
They get me through
The meaning behind the glass
It’s clear
Looking beyond my past
The fear
I cry a tear into a jar
I seal the lid
And send it far
Glass tears I cry
I can’t deny
Stream of emotions
Before I die
Glass Tears
I’m so tired of being here
Drowning away tear by tear
They keep you away from me
Why does that have to be?
You’ll always hold a place in my heart
They’ll never be able to break us apart
And my wounds they see
Deeper and deeper they tear into me
Then I see your face
Frown by frown its all erased
Smiles and happiness you bring to me
Together alone well never be
For you have me and I have you
Bonded together with superglue
My x’s and o’s are overdue
So be patient because I love you
