Taxis Used Poop Power
Taxis used poop power in days of old
Street cleaners had to mop up the road
A stinky job oh yes
Really quite a mess
Hope they were paid by the stinky load...

Taxis Used To Poop
Taxis used to poop in the days of old
Street cleaners would have to mop up the road
A stinky job oh yes
Whatta a mess I guess
Hope they were paid by the stinky load...

Hailing-Pleiades
How I'll miss city life,
hail taxis day or night,
hazardously they drive,
hope I arrive alive,
hear all the traffic noise,
horns tooting full of scorn,
harsh looks are all around,
hang on your country bound.
2-18-17...

Breakfast Breasts
Come sleep with me tonight
It’s much too late to leave
All the taxis have gone home
The horses died so long ago
Moreover the blanket was made for two
And this pillow knows your name
Besides I love the way
Your perfect breasts look at breakfast...

Christmas In Chicago
The wind chill is thirty-two degrees below zero in Chicago
Snow is being pushed around by plows that are burying cars
The wind off the lake is adding to our discomfort, but taxis are moving
Marshall Fields is open, and there are Christmas carolers
Gorgeous nativity scenes light up windows...

-eyelashes - the Side Effect-
two taxis pursue
vying for my attention
eyelashes flutter
all I hear is metal screeching
hurriedly I left the scene
*Some truth to this
write apart from
the eyelashes part,
this actually
happened last week :) *

Cats Called Carl
Cats called Carl, eat 'Captain Crunch' for cereal.
Cats called Carl, have cunning plans to collect Crystals.
They take taxis to the park.
Then they come home to find their mom tearing through the pillows.
She was angry at them for making a big Macaroni-man.
The cute cats called Carl now had a cleanup job to do....

Bonarda
Bonarda?Twenty eight ripples
counted , flow? actually,
rain drops spare spaces.
?Newcastle darkened by windows,
shut,? a longing for short rope.
?Growing window boxes fell?,
by taxis and the lost echoes?
Part time clocks between dead towers?Tick,
through the eroded scraggy day?
Arrows flew blistered stray crows...

Sweaty Handshake
sweaty palms,
lead to a brisk handshake.
averted eyes.
awkwardness.
the epitome of adolesence.
young boys and girls pretending to be grown up.
masquerading in ties and lipstick.
leaving numbers on napkins,
half-smiles,
and shared taxis.
it starts with a handshake.
quick
brisk
sweaty.
false.
like everything to come....

First Bite
A child from the 'burbs on a Big Apple trip
Found it all more than slightly exciting -
The buses, the taxis, the swings and the slides
All seemed magically more than inviting.
A glorious day on his grandparents' turf
For a long-overdue city taste
Gave this nana a glow and a grin ear to ear
That I hope will be echoed posthaste....

here in this city
at dawn the dogs rule
they run wild through the empty avenues
chase app taxis
public service ambulances
loaded with victims
of panic syndrome
yesterday the rain caused flooding
and at night the sewer overflowed
displacing its residents
rats, men and cockroaches
when in the morning the sun came up fantastic
he looked proud to show the dried mud
garbage and debris
taking its rightful place...

Purple Flowers of My Adolescence
Purple flowers of my
adolescence
Gone now - gone forever
Outside my window
young girls play hopscotch
Taxis whizz by
Young lovers embrace
Getting lost in the humming metoroplis
is a good way to eliminate angst
The biblical three score and ten years
is not that felxible
Purple flowers of my adolescense
Gone now - gone foerver
Still I see images of them at times
in the eyes of certain strangers...

Down On the Bricked Pavements
Taxis and bikes and more, in traffic they pause.
dusty passages heated by warm sun light.
On them, passengers stroll, no hurry they cause.
(Well, at certain times causing hurry, they might.)
Kids, youth, elders stroll, when troubled minds yell hoarse.
tropical aroma run through, day and night.
Though noisy, hard and annoying to the brink,
Life here in city isn't bad as you think.

Stormy Weather
Storm clouds overhead,
Rain in the forecast.
Wind's picking up,
Loose leaves soar past.
The skies open up,
Here comes the rain.
Loose leaves flowing,
Down a storm drain.
Streets are awash,
Umbrellas are high.
Pedestrians run,
Trying to keep dry.
Taxis drive past,
Splash pedestrians.
Their pace picks up,
Like Equestrians.
The storm clouds pass,
The wind whispers by.
The sun comes out,
And the streets run dry....

Parisian Night
Parisian nights magical made for hand in hand walking
Along the light sparkling Seine,
Across bridges running to old left bank enclaves
Magic nights soft city lights
Footsteps echo into alleys
Taxis purr catlike in misty morning dew
Who walks in these early hours just before dawn?
Bakers rolling croissants, freshly baking
Deliveries of flowers, papers, breads
All in sleepy just light …
You and I, hand in hand, find our way home
Under flowering purple trees...

Out of Place
En route to dinner in Toronto,
We were slightly shocked
To realize that our street
Was very slowly being blocked.
A film crew started setting up
As we sat down to eat
And that was when we noticed
New York taxis on the street!
I asked what they were filming.
"Suits," he answered in reply.
I've never seen the show
But when it's on next time, I'll try.
We ate our meal while gazing at
A phony New York mile.
Tomorrow, when we're back at home,
We'll think of it and smile....
