A wall stands tall, a line in the sand
Dreams on hold, as hope slips from hand
Yet hearts still soar, across the divide
For freedom's call done right cannot be denied

It’s quite sweet to be with her
Her height will bring me a blur
Growing tall a mystery
Short, she’s a puppy

The lighthouse by the rocky shore
stands tall, a tribute to the past,
recalling days of sailors’ lore.
The lighthouse by the rocky shore -
forlorn – gives forth its light no more.
May glory’s recollections last!
The lighthouse by the rocky shore
stands tall, a tribute to the past.

'Quite easy to stand tall'
Less breezy to start the talk.
Tale to tale, the old stalk
Same old same old, it starts to suck.
Suck you have to suck
'Remember, the old sees with no buck'.
How easy standing tall?
When we sit while you talk.
Too tall could be a snub,
Too talk turns a pub.
Your whining, to our tall, a hub.
Quite easy to stand tall
When yours never stand to stall.
Fanning out like a preening peacock's tail,
the shimmering palm trees line up the shore
as if screaming out to the waves, "encore!"
Yonder, draped and shawled in moist, dark-green moss,
stands tall a majestic mahogany,
its leaves hum to the breeze a melody!
Slender-stemmed leaves wag in the whistling wind,
feathers float, in little swirls they flutter,
in the grass, hops and stops the grasshopper!
