dark
uproot
sunnier
kindred oak trees
yield

gnarl
noble
an ageless
reverent yet

It's time for the warmer and sunnier spring weather Which brings out young girlies in their shortest shorts ever Must watch my heart Rhythm's off the chart You could knock this old bird over with a feather

Premium Member Our Granddaughter
sunnier than the sun
her disposition is golden
she exudes rays of happiness
enthusiasm gleans forth
she spins and twiirls us easily
she is invincible, powerful, funny
a miracle, who lights up the sun
Grandpa and I are both entranced and charmed...

Premium Member The Breeze Lifts My Spirits
Roses look redder
     Sunflowers sunnier
   Chrysanthemums brighter
     Queen Anne's lace whiter

   Leaves waving like pennants
     Puffy clouds sail along
   Grass green and refreshed
     Birds sing their song

   The breeze lifts my spirits
One click saves and submits it...

Sunnier Chimes
And the praying mantis is baying
for an excursion to sunnier chimes
The Sun goes down
bored casting shadows
Have you heard this one?
obscene said the Minister for good taste.
And the Moon wishes it was somewhere else
as our sprawling vows break up
like the crumbling of rocks
Fortitude dear one
said the purveyor
never to raise again...

Signs of Spring
I finally saw a robin bird,
Singing loudly to be heard
Tippy, my rescued kitten,
Sits in the window listenin'
My lilacs are now in bloom
I love the smell of their perfume
The days are now sunnier,
And so much warmer
My sweet Grandbaby, Genevieve,
Is getting too big to believe
Come the first day of May,
She'll have her first birthday
I'm so glad that Spring is here,
I've been waiting for it to appear...

Premium Member Unknown Distant Lover
Be still my soul, soon love will come calling
Sunnier days and bliss, my raptured heart
Will no longer search the whole world over
Yearning for your sweet endearing embrace
Your whispered sighs are drifting on the breeze
Speak softly to me the promise you vow
My distant lover come soothe the hunger
For your kisses, and hold me tightly, dear,
I can feel the comfort of your caress
Know you are mine forever and ever.

01:24 - Canary Again
I wore yellow again today.
Canaried myself in familiar shades.
A honey that haunted and clung to my back,
And clung to my breast, your chest it now lacks.

I fell into a dark decline.
The kind of decline only colours can find.
I wore it, then wouldn't, when you were the last
To see me canaried, then shelved to the past.

I recalled that relic today.
Refused to feel used by it's long loved decay.
Revived it, applied it, and wore it with pride,
A rarely seen creature, a sunnier hide....
