Aftermath
The breeze stenciled in gray as night dims low
Engraving war's moments, blood of sorrow.

Unwanted
Gift a wash basin wrappèd in foil
A wish unheard for it was and diapers soiled
stenciled pencil on scetchpads waning lips
Of full moons curse and syringe tips
On a heart of wanting kids no more
And eyes cried dry and cold and red as soul-sores
On lips cursed for unwanted stranger to come
And in stead of gladness only sorrow was won...

Narrative
traces of snow, black earth, roots
of devils hands that grasp at frost,
walls stenciled with cold growth;

a far dog coughs open a winter sunday,
but we are scared to peek under the crust,

Mother's Blessing
In the center, flesh
at her heart
red rivers
flow,

moss feet, soft
as wildflower fields
grow

canyons crayoned
stenciled against
mist and twilight

sky eyes, clouds
pass
through mountains
of moonlight,

Mother
bless me tonight.

This poem is for the earth who is Mother to us all, and for my Mother, how I miss her today....

Leaving in it's place this elixir ---
Which turned out to be of sepentine's blood ---
So now what once was a stroll of romance,
has become a walk to a sullen grave....

Premium Member Silent Hour
In the long silent hour before the break of dawn
I wake to gentle light within my heart

My drowsy eyes turn to wander
Where window gazing, finds a crescent moon
Rifting the darkness, and against it's light
A magnolia branch is stenciled, black and keen
Three stars are tangled in the topmost bough...

And because deep loveliness is there,
I think of you........
