August! Most days uphold the Leo Sign-
Urge those then born- to follow Lion's line.
Grand confidence and steadfastness are prone-
Unless the sting of arrogance is shown-
Sensed not accepting critics and their slights;
The August Lions share mixed-bag delights.
That you married me
That the sun rose, the day after you died
That first snowdrops still blossom in the cold
That winter, depression, grief and frustration are not winning
That my smallness matters, when I stand beneath the starry sky
That purity, faith, hope, love, truth, steadfastness and kindness always win
Quick and slow, pulsed to jibe and rudder
Late dancing in the luminous waves
The boats angle the cresting froth tops
Sails arched, full burst in the briny
Air paces vastly to horizon’s rim
The hazing glow of sky to sea
They bob and streak, the prows steadfastness
Each sailor guides to the compass, knowing
The importance of destination

There is a tree I planted
Not Long ago
From a seed it started
Then in a tree it grew.
Yearly it would bloom and blossom
Dropping its fruits for those to know
There is abundance
When we start to sow
Success does not come by virtues
Nor is it etched by desires
But it is to ignite ones passions
And let it be realised
There is steadfastness and surety
In the things we do
But we must carry them out diligently.
Lets get the clue.

serenity

Time was when love was very near, lying there in waiting.
In dawdling youth I looked away, with heart and head debating.
The mind grew weary after while, conceding heart had won.
The heart extended welcome, but ‘twas found that love had gone.
A love that is not nourished will simply fade away.
Its steadfastness must be cared for and tended every day.
Improvident the lass or lad who holds love carelessly.
It’s rare the love that can endure rejection endlessly.
