Is one to burn in hell?
Say business of sin owell!
God is holy; God is good
Rescues like Red Robbing Hood!
So let Jesus into your heart
And from spiritual death depart!
On the wall, tick, tock, tick, tock
Very slowly, so slowly, the days doth pass
Haze clouds vision, but not of the eyes
Blindness numbing the mind, past brilliance fading to abyss
Weary of mind's turmoil; following suit soul goes to abyss
Withering away, life's precious gifts; nothingness takes the eyes
Body lingers on, spiritual death long has come to pass
On the wall, tick, tock, tick, tock
I am on the path to escape death she said.
wondering how she intended to do it
I followed her around for a day or two
you mean escape spiritual death or flesh death?
her freckled face stared at my ignorance
I do not believe in spiritual anything, she said
I felt strongly then
that any escaping she planned to do
was not going to work
so I decided to follow my own path
thinking my ideas are more sound than hers could ever be
In Christ, we were chosen by God's grace
To be a people of his holy race
Before the creation of the world took place
Prior to the existence of time and space
In Christ, God has called us from our sins
Transformed in Christ-likeness from within
From spiritual death, we are redeemed
Through Jesus' death, we have life in him
The wrath of God has been withdrawn
The sting of death is passed and gone
Have no fear for after night comes dawn
Where we will join our Lord in heavenly song
