Humanity Calamity Insanity
Institutional reformation inside of this nation
Prisons have risen to the ranks of solicitation

Politicians in formation line up for their vacations
Due to a prisoners isolation

The ideology behind this hypocrisy
Is some kind of demented democracy
And a continuing demagoguery

Oh the humanity
A convicts calamity
Thanks to political insanity...

Patriotism
I wish if I have to be part of the deal wish also a wish
of patriotism like never to betray here or near or

A TV drones on
Background noise
Riffing on a trash can
Moments
Without moment
Motionless predators
Devouring their prey
Popcorn
Stuck between the teeth
A reminder of joy’s
Transient cheese flavored

Searching the remote
For the present
Deleting the detritus
Of a black and white past
The doorbell
Announces
An unsolicited solicitation
Breaking the mood
Of an endless
                      ……moment

Solicitation

We cross the bridge of life as two.

The path goes on, no end in sight-

just that fine line 'tween sky and sea,

warm sunny rays or cold dark waves.

Our hands held tight, blindly we walk

not knowing when- or what will come.

We pray, as two, we'll cross that line-

still holding hands- into the light.
