So eccentric tastes:
Pierogis with some cole slaw;
Fruit in ice cream bowl;
Pepperoni with yogurt.
Gourmet with variety....

The Little Crab
The little crab broke his claw
That he used as a paw
It's now long gone
Eaten just like a bone
By a fish that they call slaw...

Had Been Hard of Hearing
Had Been Hard of Hearing

Sounds in ear keep disappearing;
Must have been hard of hearing,
Likes cold slaw;
Broke the law,
When he should be God fearing....

Cold Slaw We Saw
Cold Slaw We Saw

We were having  another barbecue,
Which we loved until it was through;
Ate cold slaw,
That we saw;
All the way up and soon filled you.

Should you awaken in the night in a fog,
Raid the frig, and have yourself a slaw dog!
It will generate sweet dreams during the night,
And you will sleep like a baby until first light....

I revere the witty verse of Ogden Nash,

   Whose versifications are so waggish and brash!

      His work elicited from the masses many a guffaw.

         Alas, he met his doom after consuming infected slaw!

Shadow's Dark Apparel

My shadow wears
A slaw sunlight rain falls
cloak’s darkness
raincoat
His hair is like matted cotton
hair as natural as a desert bush
my shadow is a cotton field
being rain on moist sticky
gummy blooms bushy
pearl white as the clouds

Premium Member Grapes
Delicious fruit so small and sweet
Of red, purple and light green
Seedless, seeded on the vine
Some are for eating
Others just for wine
Chill them add them
To an iced drink
Make sure you
Wash them well
In the kitchen sink
Juice them squish them
Eat them raw
Cut them up
Serve them in
Cold fruit slaw
What a gift
Of sweet candy
I just think
Grapes are just dandy...

I Like Cake
I like cake, any kind at all,
give me cake, forget the chicken and slaw.

I know my shape is changing fast;
how much longer will these cravings last.

Blueberry Streusel or Chocolate Devine, and
even Coconut too; I'll eat my cake before my beef stew.

Maybe one day I'll leave them behind; these tasty treats
of every kind.

Goodby cake, goodby gut, soon I'll be wearing my jeans
that I love so much....

Premium Member Thanksgiving Day
mom and dad up at midnight
slow roasting turkey all morning long
7am we crowd for breakfast
by 8am the master dressing maker takes her stage
then one by one
we begin to shred the slaw,
mash the tators,
lump the gravy,
brown the rolls,
cream the corn,
and butter dab the homemade noodles
around the table we sit
giving thanks to all before us
as we begin to pass around our meal family style
leaving room for our dessert!...

Blah
She's all blah
Unlike aha!
Needle on a thorn
A single kernel of corn,
Deserted land
An empty hand,
Vanilla ice cream
The kind you don't scream
For, strawberry without a straw
Makes for a boring berry cole slaw,
She's all blah
Unlike Moore's law,
A single star
Seen from a parked car,
In a simple night
Like a barren kite,
Kool aid without the cool
A non Swiss army tool,
Such is this her bore
An eaten apple core,
She's all blah
Unlike an outlaw......
