The Big Spill

The gulf oil spill hurts just as much as a bad tooth
Was this truly an accident will we ever learn the truth
As the oil in the gulf continue to spill
With the economy still going downhill
Our pockets will weep as gas prices shoot through the roof

Past Addictions

I'm so fashioned to live within these walls
ever stepping into the colour of light
a mask to wear to shade my true name
cold to touch for my fingers were my veins
my knees but of raw blood and bone
how i prayed upon them for a dream
i felt the love shoot through my body
alas a pain that still lingers on

Paradox

Oh prison cell where I reside
Castle of my wounded pride
I’d ask for help, to be set free
Alas, I hold the only key!
My hand against the bar, the glass
The darkest shadows of my past
I wrote a twisted ugly plot
My Genie’s in a bottle locked
Stars shoot through the open sky
I make no wish, you wonder why?
Too scared I am, to count to three
And find you staring back at me.

Premium Member Gone, Perhaps Forever

Someone very near and very dear
  leaves, perhaps forever, no offense
but he has his own right to life, it
just happens to be thousands of
    miles away...

and so I go about my daily grind
  grim-faced, gusto-less, ghostlike going
through the motions, until I feel
his message shoot through my veins

pricking my conscience and bringing
out the sunshine in my heart of hearts

Premium Member And Once Upon

Listen to poem:
and once upon a galaxy
there was this one little quark star
that wanted nothing more
than shoot through vast skies
at the speed of light

so on and on she drew across the heavens
her many arcs of ephemeral wonder
and no one dared to stop her

she danced across the universe
leaving her trail everywhere she went
until she had no more to give
and fizzled out into infinity

Nap-Dream

Nap-Dream
Out of Nap-Dream colours explode Purple! Pink! Blue-white-black! I stumble in and about my abode (in some other dimension of reality) and struggle in vain to pour coffee into mugs for inter-dimensional visitors. My brain seizes up in a sudden spasm of REM sleep... Waves shoot through mind-realm as I plunge blindly across the timeless book shelves of Nap-Dream.

Wildfires spread like greased lightning
  Contagious diseases, like wildfires
Juicy gossip's refined in the rumor mill
   Rumors shoot through the grapevine

Negativity think it's pretty quick
   Though positivity's just as slick

Smile, and the whole world smiles with you
Laugh, and soon everyone else is laughing too
Open a door for someone, and they will open one for you

Number Eighteen

July 3, 2006

It’s a great day and I’m filled with the Holy Ghost and the Spirit of God surrounds
me.

Trickles of pain shoot through my parts signaling another moment given over to
the NEGATIVE.

There are solutions that loom large and require thought and conscious study
and I have so much work to do to be a craftswoman.

Even of life.

What about focus? What about children’s writing? What about? Pick and
choose and do, this is my message to you.

Lost My Mom!

Simple words,

Comforting smiles,

Surely make my life worth while,

Pain of the past rest on my shoulders,

Now that I am getting older,

Heart is in grieviance,

And my mind is numb,

My heart is hurting,

Even if I have someone to love,

I want this life,

But it seems as if it doens't want me,

Why won't God hear my plea,

Tingling sensations shoot through my body,

But what if i can't pull this off,

What if I can't love again,

What if I have lost my mom!
