Past Addictions

I'm so fashioned to live within these walls
ever stepping into the colour of light
a mask to wear to shade my true name
cold to touch for my fingers were my veins
my knees but of raw blood and bone
how i prayed upon them for a dream
i felt the love shoot through my body
alas a pain that still lingers on
