A Buffoon Of A Tune
My boyfriend looks like a buffoon
He thought he could sing a great tune
Couldn't hold a note
Was holding a tote
Instead he flew right to the moon.

I don't know how the rest of the world will get their kicks
Here's to my Southern Belle ringing in Twenty Twenty-Six
I don't know where to, thoughts of my Northern Belle will carry
But I'll be merry with a glass of, and with my reverie of Sherri
And both of you are with the heavenly choir, singing and spieling
I look to the new year and to hear my Belle's clapping and pealing
I am stuck in the Eighties
I am being reminded of you
Every memory of Sherri
Is being invited and excited by
Emmaleigh
She looks so much like you
My dear Sherri
So much it's scary
Her reminder of you
Leads me to the times of our younger selves
In the depths of memories I delve
Even her mannerisms
Remind me of you
Every time I see Emmaleigh
I am taken back to when we
Met [fourscore and seven] in Germany
Lighting
There white limbs of lighting
reaching out with hope across a river of
tears dangeling over the edge of no fear.
The height was more than i
could bear I was snatched in mid air.
I knew I could cope if I could get
untangled from the quivering limbs of
lighting,AS I was looking thru
the mirror of fears thru my tears
.
A decision to leap for faith or
jump for life,Shivering in my boots
I jumped,Now I reap my rewards.

This is my haiku
It's about Electric blue
borrowed, old and new
Do you look through blue?
What excites your horizon?
Do you have a clue?
Electric blue eyes
(Of which I have two of, love)
Sometimes see grey skies
Blue green gray segue
Still looking through electric
Blue, blows you away
Electric blue eyes
What I look through to see you
See you in disguise
Epilogue:
Sherri Lynn saw pools
When she thought about my eyes
Calm, reflective, blue
Another Child Lost
A man is set free
Instead of joining the cause
We get online to speak
Just imagine what might have been
With no JUSTICE & no Peace
If our leaders were like us now then
We still be in shackles from our hands to our feet
Thank God there was a Malcolm, a Martin, and Medger
But now it’s up to US to continue their ENDEAVORS!!!
Please Let’s Stop The Talk, and Walk the Walk.
PICK UP THE TORCH, STOP OUR YOUTH FROM BEING KILLED UN NECESSARY
By Sherri Fletcher Wells
The woman that took me under her wing
This woman gave me everything
She gave me hope
Which was the only thing that kept me afloat
She gave me courage I never had
It kind of makes me sad
This woman most of all gave me love and understanding
No matter what went wrong she was right by my side
Even if she couldn't help she made a point to try
I want this woman to know how I feel
I want this woman to know I am for real
She is my mind and my soul
This woman is my Aunt Sherri
