Questioning the Answers
What, who, or where
 the sages portend

What, who, or where
the shamans belie

What, who, or where
 the scholars defend

What, who, or where
—not questioning why

Fettered Women
oh fettered women,
do you walk symmetrically?
lining up your steps with calculation/closer to death, end of the day

oh faceless noons,
do you tread me and my flawed desires?
bringing your midnight reflections,washing over me like troubled water

oh fettered women,
do you believe in shamans, blindness, or love?

Premium Member On the Back of September's Wings

water marches as rice grains,
manna from heaven
attend our homeland,
exiled clouds pour your romance
onto cracking earth.
Our poor scorpions,
in bellies of hot, dormant
wells raised their generations.
Shamans still dance in rings, arousing bands of blessing.
Timbre grows, grains gaining size, dusty dreams refreshing....

The Re-Union
She searched for her brother everywhere;
in the woods, fields, and inside rivers. He was nowhere

to be found. He had vanished like a firewood spark
fading in the cold, evening wind. "He was carried to the skies

by Cloud Warriors!" some shamans said. Today, embracing her brother,
she is filled with overflowing joy! The shamans had it all wrong;

her brother had come back as a Divine Bear, to come and take her
to a new home; a place where timelessness and bliss are One........
